Bandai Namco has released its financial results for FY2022 and its looking mighty promising for the publisher. With a total of ¥125 billion ($963 million) in profits, this marks a staggering 48.2% rise from the previous year.
Net sales rose 20% to a total of ¥889 billion ($6.8 billion), due largely in part to the monumental success of Elden Ring. In terms of game sales, the company sold a total of 56 million software units across 66 different titles.
Japan remains the company's most profitable region, making up 70% of the publisher's sales across its business units. The Americas follow at 11%, with Europe and Asia each taking a 9% split.
Looking ahead, the publisher has multiple Switch games in the pipeline, including the likes of Digimon Survive, Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series, Dragon Ball: The Breakers, and SD Gundam Battle Alliance.
Along with its ongoing success, Bandai Namco has made some significant changes in recent times, including providing its Japanese staff with a lovely pay rise. It's also launched a brand new company logo, ditching the multi-coloured old design for a more modernised, streamlined approach.

Notice that they've had higher profits ever since they got rid of Jump Force.
That's the results for Bandai Namco Holdings (of which Bandai Namco Entertainment, the Video game publishing arm, is just a part of) as a whole, I'm pretty sure.
Hope the Klonoa remakes sell well. Out of all Namco's properties I'd like to see make a comeback, this is definitely near the top.
Edit: Also Digimon Survive has had terrible marketing so far. There's only 2 months left until launch, and yet the only thing we've really seen over the three years that passed since its announcement is just a number of teaser trailers. I can't get excited over the title if I have no idea what it really is.
Has klonoa for switch a release date?
Just here to express my undying love of Klonoa
@TKundNobody
July 8th
Is namco-bandai nintendo's biggest third party supporter?
So no love for Bamco on Nintendolife? (except for Klonoa that is)
Personally I've enjoyed God Eater 3 quite a lot (much more than Burst, 2 Rage Burst and Resurrection) plus the Namco Museum collection as well.
a shame no more tales games are coming to the current switch.. they would have made even more profits ...
But they also seem to be more geared towards their japanese homemarket. 70% of their revenue is from their home turf, while the North American, European and Asian markets are roughly 10% each.
They only publish Elden Ring (and the Dark Souls series) you know. FromSoftware is owned by a large japanese media conglomerate about twice the size of Capcom.
Let’s hope klonoa does well.
Good job Bandai Namco, now give us that exclusive new Tales game you promised.
From Namco I only buy two games: Tekken and Soulcalibur.
These are 2 of my favorite franchises of all time.
But apart from these 2 franchises, there isn't a single other game from Namco that interests me.
Hopefully the Klonoa remakes sell well, so we'll probably finally get the grand return of the Wonderswan cult classic: Klonoa Moonlight Museum (I wish).
@MeatSauce thank you!
I think it's worth calling out just how anamolous Elden Ring's success is - through a combination of marketing and what I believe to be a rabid word of mouth campaign from fans of the soulsborne series (myself included), the game outsold last year's COD.
That said, where's Tales of Symphonia on switch??
I hope to god this means they'll be more willing to risk giving Digimon more attention. Please remake the World games and put them in a collection. I'm trying to get into the games but they're annoying to collect.
