Last year for Sonic's 30th anniversary, Sega teamed up with Mojang to release some special themed DLC in Minecraft.
If you've previously purchased this DLC, you'll likely be interested to know that there's now a free update available. It adds Labyrinth Zone, a Master Mode and new character skins from the Sonic 2 movie.
Here's an official description of the DLC. You can pick it up on Minecraft's Marketplace for 1340 Minecoins.
"Sonic the Hedgehog races into Minecraft at supersonic speeds! Sprint, roll, and spring off enemies through iconic zones, with infinite gameplay. Did this run well for you guy's switches? I've seen several playthroughs and it seems on switch it is barely functional. Is it an Internet thing?
Sonic and tails literally never looked worse 😝 Not even when Sonic went 8-bit..
@PBandSmelly No, it runs atrociously on Switch. Minecraft as a whole is pretty poor on Switch, but this is a particularly bad example. Which is a shame, because it is fun DLC.
Oh dear, shame they couldn't get a real Sonic game ready for the Sonic 2 movie launch, even it was just the Sonic Origins collection. What's happened to that thing?
I had no clue Minecraft even had paid DLC. Then again I've only played a cracked version on private servers because who the hell would want to run around playing with a bunch of 12 year old griefers.

Probably not in a good state as they’ve gone completely dark about it despite the fans swearing we’d hear more after the completely botched launch of Colors Ultimate, that Sega hasn’t told us who is developing it is a huge red flag.
@SalvorHardin I'd wondered if they were going to surprise launch it near the movie. I thought Christian Whitehead was making them?
