Original Article (Thu 13th Jan, 2022 14:00 GMT): The Pokémon Company has revealed the next character set to join Pokémon Unite, and as you'll hopefully have figured out from the headline, it's Trevenant!
The Ghost- and Grass-type Pokémon, which was first introduced to the series in Pokémon X & Y on Nintendo 3DS, will be added to the lineup next week on 20th January. You can get a quick taste of it in action in the newly released trailer.
Details on the Pokémon's exact moveset and abilities haven't yet been shared, but we do know that Trevenant will be a Defender.

I've actually been keeping up fairly well with 'leaks' for this game. NONE of them even mentioned Trevenant, at all. This is the Sephiroth of Unite: a character no-one even thought of but still managed to get in regardless. Love it. On the gameplay side of things, he looks a bit meh to me personally but maybe he'll wow me when he actually comes out.

I've fallen off the wagon. I played a couple games with Dragonite (loved it, by the way... no issues there) but then life caught up to me for a bit, and now I just have zero interest to jump back in. I thought a new Pokemon reveal might spark the flame, but sadly, no. Not going to uninstall it just yet, I might just need a break from getting those daily play bonuses

This was my favorite addition from X and Y.
Not a bad pick. Im not gonna play it but Trevenant is WAY more interesting then some of the other pokemon on the roster. We need more like it, actually.

Alolan exeggutor is one of my favorite Pokémon, but I guess I can accept this tree.
Matches are starting to take longer and longer to make though.
