Marvelous Europe has dropped a brand new trailer for Rune Factory 5, which is set to launch on Nintendo Switch on 25th March.
The video (which you can check out above), has been released alongside news that the game's Digital and Digital Deluxe editions are now available to pre-order. The Deluxe Edition, priced at £59.99/€69.99, includes a digital copy of the game as well as the Rune Factory 4 Marriage Candidates Outfits Set.
It's also been confirmed that anyone who pre-orders either the Digital or the Digital Deluxe Edition via the Nintendo eShop will receive The Holy Knight and the Bibliophile Swimsuit Set, based on Forte and Kiel's beach outfits from Rune Factory 4, as well as the New Ranger Care Package Item Pack.
We'll leave you with a reminder that some very fancy physical edition options are also available at select retailers, as well as a recap of what you can expect in Rune Factory's latest instalment when it arrives in a couple of months' time:
In the sleepy border town of Rigbarth, a shift is happening. Mysterious events are unfolding, affecting the runes that govern the balance between humanity and nature…
As the newest recruit for the peacekeeping organisation, SEED, you play an important role in maintaining harmony in the threatened Norad Kingdom. With no memories of your past and with little to show for your experience, you must earn your stripes. Work with the people of Rigbarth to help the town flourish, forging friendships and making your mark as you go.
As the balance of peace begins to shift, it’s time to prove yourself. With your new friends from Rigbarth at your side, set off on a grand adventure in this fantasy world to unravel the mystery befalling the land, embracing your inner power to halt the descent into chaos.

Day 1 for me, I'm extremely excited for this game!
I've been following this game forever it seems like. Ready for it to come!
I'm really hoping the game has been patched well since the Japanese release last year. The game ran like garbage at launch and doesn't appear to have been improved much even after patch 1.0.4. And folks think Arceus doesn't look good, yikes.

Why does March have to be so packed with games I want? Triangle Strategy, Kirby, and Runefactory are all going to be the death of me and my bank account.
I ended up preordering the Earthmate Edition physical special pack at EB Games Canada. I didn't want to get this game digitally because I was so disappointed with Pioneers of Olive Town that I wanted to have the option to trade in Rune Factory 5 should it also not meet expectations. I am a sucker for special physical editions of games too so we'll see. I hope the game is actually good with a lot of depth. I am happy the English version will be more diverse with its marriage candidates than what the Japanese got at launch.
@T-Rexy I'm in the same boat with Kirby and Rune Factory. Triangle Strategy looks great but it's not really my type of game. I think I will start with Kirby and move on to Rune Factory later.
Guhhhh. This has taken so long! My hype has fizzled. Hopefully it comes back soon
Oh yes finally a good game again! Day one for me.
This will be my first Rune Factory, but I really can't wait to put my hands on it! A shame it's coming the same month as Triangle Strategy and Kirby (two of my most anticipated games right now)... It will have to wait a little bit, but I'll get it eventually for sure!
@the_beaver You should try out 4 Special, if you want. It's pretty cheap and lots of fun!
i pre-ordered the big boy bundle or whatever it was physically since i really enjoyed RF4, this one looks like a mighty step up so it should be a good romp and the lbgtq marriage options are just the icing on the cake at this point
Day One but since you need to order from them directly if you want the Sheep shouldn't be the case. It should be for anyone PreOrder not only from one site. Need to get back to RF4....been away for some time.
@Magician My thoughts too. RF5 looks like a 3DS port in that trailer.
@DarthFoxMcCloud I ordered the Earthmate Edition too. My kid and I have been HM/SOS/RF fans since the Gamecube/GBA days, and I'm pretty confident at least one of us will enjoy RF5 enough to want to own the special edition. I know the game didn't exactly set Japan on fire when it launched, but I'm optimistic since I've liked what I've seen so far. And the same-sex romance options mean a lot to me.
