I would love to have a Left 4 Dead-esque Salmon Run mode, where you and 3 other friends have to get from Point A to Point B against hordes of Salmonids. The uniqueness of it would shine because traversal in Splatoon is so different- you could have levels that are completely vertical, activate rails across trenches with sharp shooting snipers, super jump to teammates in need. Plus you’d have specials to bail you out. It’d be such insane fun

Or rather people playing 2 will get 3 or get left behind.

I wonder if Nintendo are a aware of the great potential Splatoon has to become a multimedia franchise. Even not being a big fan of the series I can think of a million ideas as to how it could become a TV show, movies and even music.

I've never really cared one way or the other about Cali & Mari, but I really hope that Pearl & Marina find a place in 3.

@Wyatt006 Animal Crossing, yes. But, Splatoon beats Pikmin.

@Azuris Probably not compatible, though maybe items will transfer. I love Splatoon 2 but it will be close to 5 years. I think most will move to Splatoon 3

@Wyatt006 All great games, but Splatoon really is a special IP. Shooters just seem silly, funny enough, without all the paint and range based mechanics Splatoon excels at.

I'm still curious about what they're gonna do with some of the exclusive gear from Splatoon 2. I mean, sure, some of it could just stay in Splatoon 2, but what about the outfits from the manga, like the Milky Eminence Jacket and the Eminence Cuff? You can only get it with a code from the Japanese CoroCoro magazine, but I don't think they would get rid of it as it's part of the outfits of Emperor, Prince, N-Pacer, Jr., and Laceless, the members of Team Emperor and Team Newperor, in the manga.
