Nintendo went live with their UK pre-order bonuses for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury months ago, offering a series of plushies to go with next month's Switch release, but South Korea might just have us beat.
Appearing across several retailers, we've now received images of a previously unseen steelbook edition, giving us a clear look at both sides and, as you can see, it's absolutely stunning.
Adding to this further, Hong Kong's own pre-order bonus has been revealed too, and though it's not quite as notable as South Korea's, they'll be receiving a sticker magnet which acts as a decal for your smartphone. Swish!
There's no news to whether either pre-order bonus will be available in the West at this time, sadly. Nintendo confirmed yesterday that we'll be getting a new look at the new Bowser's Fury content later today, so there's a chance we might find out more soon. As a two-minute presentation though, it seems unlikely, but it would time up rather well.
Considering that goes live today at 2 pm GMT, 3 pm CET, 6 am PT and 9 am ET, at least we won't have to wait too much longer to find out.
Would you go for the steelbook edition if offered in the West, or are you happy with the current selection? Leave a comment down below.

Sorry, too busy salivating over that steelbook...
I actuallly prefer the plushies.
Super Mario 3D World + Fury World sounds even worse than the English version, but the steelbook is a nice extra.
That steelbook 😍😍😍
i absolutely adore the red on it although i'm not too big a fan of how the logo is just plastered on, the inside is gorgeous though
hahaha fury world
I guess a certain audience will be pleased hahaha
It's weird that they put more effort on the inside than on the outside.
Has the name changed to "Fury World" or is that just the Korean translation?
@Rob3008
Presumably just a territory thing, but it gives insight into what Bowser's Fury is.
It sounds like it's just an additional world separate from the main game.
I want that.
I wish we had that here for North America. We get less and less physical offerings lately vs everyone else.
Also, the last pic is not in Hangul.
If they're calling it 'Fury World', surely that indicates a fairly substantial add-on?
nice steel for real
It looks lovely but would also annoy me having it look different to the other Mario games in my shelf. Something like this would've suited 3D All-Stars more in a way as it's a limited edition.
@RupeeClock @Rob3008 It's called Fury World in Japan too.
I'd kinda prefer the inside on the outside.
I want one. I like
It's gorgeous!! I'd love this
Why do so many steelbooks have no title on the spine these days? Would drive me nuts.
If that came out in the UK I'd actually consider waiting for it to arrive instead of ordering the game digitally like I always do
Was that inside designed with the now redundant Miiverse stamps hidden throughout the game?
I don't like the outside, it's pretty underwhelming compared to the inside.
Sure. I can do that. I have never displayed jealously throughout my entire life. Anyone bragging would just get a polite meh.
The UK got quite a few cool steelbooks between 2018-2019.
These are just some of the examples.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Super Mario Maker 2
Daemon X Machina
Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
Luigi's Mansion 3
Pokémon Sword
Pokémon Shield
Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield (Dual Pack)
I do hope people in South Korea do not get too jealous...
Neither bonus is my cup of tea. But the game is!
Fury World, is that where they banished Fawful to?
I got a friend who lives over there he prob would get this lol
I would be happy if Nintendo just started putting instruction manuals back into their games.
The interior art should be the exterior. But I have given up on collecting steel books, I drew a line, it's hard enough keeping up with physical releases as it is..
@Solomon18 I have been trying my best to keep up with them.
Here are the 22 Nintendo steelbook cases that I have right now.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition
@Eddyson Good one
The outside is bland as ever but the inside though!
I would like to point out that France is also getting a Steelbook as a pre-order bonus at Micromania and Fnac. The front depicts the usual 3D World cover while the back has the Bowser's Fury artwork. I will admit though, I do prefer the minimalistic look of the Korean steelbook, with the inside being the star of the show
I'm not a collector but steelbooks always get my attention.
Do I look bovvered? 😱
I pre-ordered yesterday - and I've just been notified that my order has been upgraded to a steelbook edition (looks quite like game packaging so different design to this one).
