Update (Wed 2nd Sep, 2020 04:30 BST): Although this still hasn't been officially confirmed by Sega, Amazon has now seemingly revealed the double pack box art (thanks, Sonic Stadium). Take a look below:
Original article (Tue 25th Aug, 2020 03:55 BST): Last week, a new listing over on Amazon seemingly revealed the Nintendo Switch would be receiving a two-in-one Sonic the Hedgehog double pack containing Sonic Mania and Team Sonic Racing.
By the looks of it, that might not be the only Sega two-pack on the way. As spotted by Tails' Channel, GameFly has listed a Sonic Forces and Super Monkey Ball HD double pack. The second game is likely to be Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD.
As can be seen, the release date is 31st October. The other double pack on Amazon is scheduled for 26th October.
GameFly has a relatively good track record when it comes to Nintendo Switch listings like this. It revealed Titan Quest and Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden - Deluxe Edition were both on their way to the hybrid system ahead of any official announcements.
Well before both of these recent double pack listings, Sega released a two-in-one bundle containing Sonic Mania and Sonic Forces. Would you be interested in physical release containing Sonic Forces and last year's Super Monkey Ball? Tell us below.

I bought SMB on PC and wanted to get a physical copy of the game, but I guess I rather buy the single one and not have sonic forces on it... (sorry!) Still, I suppose if the price is right, it could be a good value 🤔
Let's be honest here.
Who would actually want to buy this? Like, what's the target audience? People who want to save money on 2 mediocre games?
That is one weird combination of games.
This'll be like 20 bucks on black friday sales.
@Gridatttack Yeah, this is probably the only way I would play Sonic Forces. Also, we do get a playable Sonic in Monkey Ball right?
@PcTV I am expecting it to be 20 bucks now and 10 bucks on Black Friday.
Hey SEGA. You know what double pack of SEGA games would actually make sense? Puyo Puyo Tetris + Puyo Puyo Champions. RIght?
Remember when double packs had two games from the same series on them? Oh! Like the Castlevania Double Pack. Hm.
Single player wise, Sega has never bettered the original Monkey Ball on GameCube/arcade. Would rather play a port of that.
Super Monkey Ball 1&2 remaster double pack please. Banana Blitz Wii & Switch were just ok timepasses
@LEGEND_MARIOID they made that for ps2 called super monkey ball deluxe. I would kill for a simple port of that one.
@doctorhino Ah yes of course. How could I forget. I didn't own that one as I had the GC games, but those were certainly the days. I'd be more than happy with a straight HD port as well tbf.
With all these Sega budget compilations coming it out, it'd be great to see a physical collection of the Sega Ages titles.
Looks like they're bundling Sonic with every game that failed to sell for them. Good marketing there Sega.
@Rhaoulos The connection is that you can unlock Sonic as a playable character on Super Monkey Ball
@LEGEND_MARIOID YES PLEASE!
The Bundle of Shame.
I'd much prefer Sonic Colours/Generations or Sonic & The Black Knight / Secret Rings
This combo doesn't appeal to me in any way.
I guess the release date is October 31 (Spooky Day) For how bad these games are! They are so bad that they will scare you is sega's new thing I guess!
@Liam_Doolan On the switch, have you seen any double game packs have two game cards or two games on one card? (I feel like it'll be one game card and one redeem code in the game case. Not ideal)
@WoomyNNYes There some physical collection that contain two games on one cartridge though. The Guacamelee bundle had both Guacamelee 1 & 2 on one cartridge, if you buy the multi-language Final Fantasy X/X-2 from Play-Asia, it contain both games completely unlock meaning you don't need code for FFX-2, in the BioShock Collection, all the core base game contents are on the cartridge but all extra DLCs, extra missions, and multiplayer mode had to be downloaded, and in the SteamWorld Dig bundle came with both SteamWorld Dig 1 & 2 on the cartridge.
If you bought the Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII double pack from Play-Asia you get both games on the cartridge and if you bought the Dragon Quest trilogy pack, all 3 games are on the cartridge. I believe the upcoming Grandia HD Collection from Limited Run Game also contain both games on the cartridge as well so there's a few. As for a Switch bundle with two cartridges, that hasn't happen yet and if it does I hadn't seen such a collection that had that yet but there are collection that contain two games from one pak such as what Limited Run Games did with games like Turok 1 & 2 where it came with both cartridges in one package but both are just separate case. My rule of thumb here is that if the bundle collection is from a limited print release (from Play-Asia, Limited Run Games, Strictly Limited Games, Super Rare Games, etc.) then it likely will have all games on the cart, if you had to buy it from the actual publisher though it may likely contain a code for one of them while the other one are on the cartridge such as what Capcom, Nintendo, Sega, Activision, and other publishers did.
2 bad Games in one!
@RickD Why wait to release a possibly great game with an undoubtedly mediocre experience? Just release a 2-pack with Other M and Federation Force! The HD remasters no one asked for, together at last!
@LEGEND_MARIOID I didn't own that one either, as I had super monkey ball 2 on gamecube and played the hell out of it. Those were the days. Seemed like Sega went above and beyond to get everything on every system. Given right now they are going nuts with the Yakuza series, a lot of others are not getting as much love.
I'm not really sure I understand why they picked this super monkey ball to port. Given it was the most recent one, it was also much weaker than even super monkey ball 2.
@RickD I would take metroid prime hunters with 2 stick analog controls. That was a great game but made my hand hurt.
@RickD That's not stopping SEGA here.
@doctorhino That game looked great on the DS, but it could definitely use a visual touch-up as well as upgraded controls. Plus, it's impossible to play online through normal means.
They should release Monkey Ball 1 and 2 as a double-pack, THAT I'd buy!
@doctorhino That was definitely an awkward control scheme on Metroid Prime Hunters, hurt my hands too. Twin stick controls would be nice.
Sonic Mania is awesome, Sonic Forces is average. Not sure who'd buy a double pack.
I already own both games.
Monkey Ball was alright for what it was. Sonic Forces absolutely sucked (if you're gonna play Sonic on the Switch go with Sonic Mania).
@stuie1234 They're not all the same, the first two are a million miles better than anything that came after.
This one looks promising.
Wow that is horrible
turd sandwich
@PcTV ...and people would still be wise to NOT buy it. Nobody needs this. There are so many better games for the price.
I was so excited for a moment! Thought it might be a SMB 1&2 pack, but no
Wake me up when Sega finally announces Sonic Adventure 1-2 remasters
@TG16_IS_BAE I suppose the worst is in the Mega Drive era when some publisher was probably literally taking whatever budget overstock games they could get and bundling them two at a time.
Telstar Double Pack: Bubsy and Lotus Turbo Challenge.
Wait... I have blocked out my memory of the Wii/DS era when I actually saw that happen at my local stores: Target selling Magical Starsign/Deal or No Deal. Yes, a Nintendo game bundled with the most unnecessary gameshow port in history really happened and was not a dream.
I passed up Nights for the Wii (maybe that was a good decision anyways, from what I heard) when Best Buy sold it bundled with two little girl games (some Barbie and Strawberry Shortcake games I think). Don't know if that is on the same level as the DS pack above.
Yay the weakest Monkey Ball game coupled with one of the weakest Sonic games
I hope it not more than $30, why? Sonic Forces is free for PS+ users just 1 year release. That is how poor the Sonic game is to be given that early.
Lets see if we can come up with even weirder bundles.
Kula World and Metal Gear Solid 1.
@PikaPhantom BURN.
I'd buy it for 20 quid.
Eww, no thanks
Zero point buying Sega games individually from now on then by the looks of it
