GameFly has listed Titan Quest: Anniversary Edition for release on the Nintendo Switch.
The work of Age of Empires co-creator Brian Sullivan and Braveheart scribe Randall Wallace, Titan Quest is an action RPG which draws inspiration from the myths and legends of ancient Greece, Egypt and Asia. It gives you the chance to buddy-up with the likes of Agamemnon, Achilles and Odysseus to take down some of the most famous bad guys in the history of mythology.
You can customise your character using one of 28 classes and over 1000 pieces of gear, and online multiplayer is also on offer, with two to six participants. It's even possible to create your own maps using the game's world editor.
Titan Quest originally launched way back in 2006, but last year's Anniversary Edition gave the cult title a new lease of life. All that remains to be seen now is the legitimacy of GameFly's listing - presumably THQ Nordic will make an announcement shortly if a Switch version is indeed on the cards.

Whaaat? If this turns out to be true, I'd be all over it. Titan Quest is awesome, and I'm more than willing to pay for an overpriced port of it on my favourite system. Hope it includes the recently released DLC as well!
Better than Diablo 3. Bring it on!
@Armbouncer That's not saying much, tho.
Either way this is great news.
Argh! I have this on tablet and never got round to playing it - would I be more likely to on Switch? Maybe. Nice to see a proper 50-hour old-school ARPG coming this way, though.
I really hope this is true, I'd love to play this game again! Was a huge fan of the original
All. Of. My. Yes!!!!!
I am pretty happy about this news. Played this game like crazy back in the day. If it is not to expensive i might buy it
This is fantastic!!! The only thing I did not like in TQ was that there were no 2-hand weapons. We dont count staffs!
hell I'd buy it
Interesting. I played a lot of Titan Quest back in the day. I'm curious to see if Grim Dawn follows.
PLEASE LET THIS BE TRUE!
...Sorry for the shouting.
Thought this was some weird error at first, but I didn't know about the game being re-released/updated last year, whatever it is they did.
I really enjoyed the 2 games, I'm looking at the Immortal Throne box on my shelf right now, original box is in another room on another shelf, and would recommend it to my kids on Switch.
Though I really hated the point and move control. Don't suppose there's any chance you can just move w/ a stick now?
Third party support is happening!!!
@rjejr I don't believe they have implemented controller support with the Anniversary Edition on Steam yet, but if they're really going to bring this game on Switch, I think they'll have to. Also, there's a new expansion pack for it as well called Ragnarok.
@Armbouncer "but if they're really going to bring this game on Switch, I think they'll have to."
That's what I was thinking. I didn't like the control scheme 10 years ago, I can't imagine people playing on a Switch now are going to want to move an X around the screen w/ the right stick and have their guy follow it. It's driving me nuts in AC:Pocket Camp but that's a free tablet game so I deal. Mosley I deal by not playing it.
It's not Diablo but I'll take it!
@rjejr It's also listed to PS4 and Xbox on the same site, so I'd imagine that if this is true, we would get major UI and control changes (pretty similar to what happened to Diablo III).
I hope they support touch controls for inventory management on the go!
So I wasn't seeing things when scrolling through GameFly recently. I recall this game being a big deal. May have to bite... I love me some mythology.
@rjejr
You didn't like Mouse controls for an ARPG in the vain of Diablo ?? Whats wrong with you?
Ok, I'm gonna have to put a freeze on all future PC purchases - I've only just bought this on Steam! Evidently the whole Steam library is porting to Switch.
Just finished this on PC and its a great game. And if it has the just released DLC that would be better. TTA has all the older dlc.
@Alcovitch "in the vain of Diablo"
Probably b/c I've never played any of the Diablo games.
@duducamargo "PS4 and Xbox"
Well it certainly should have stick controls then. Wouldn't hold my breath on any touchscreen though. Which is fine by me, I still view my Switch as a home console w/ the screen hidden behind a pointless wall.
Lol!... We should just start calling this the rehashed generation. There is a good reason there is no real gameplay in that video.
You can get TQ for 7.99 right now on the iphone. I mean no idea what for - but you can.
Meh!
@Agramonte What is wrong with older games coming to the new console?
There can't be only new games.
Many people would like to play remasters or ports of old games on the Switch.
Would make sense as THQ Nordic are only in favour of bringing their smaller scale titles to Switch. Would be all over this too if it is confirmed.
A Diablo style game on the Switch? And with online multiplayer? Yeah, you can sign me up for that!
Triple dip. On Switch I will finally play it as much as I intend.
