Following the unfortunate cancellation of E3 this year, Summer 2020 has been jam-packed with online digital events showcasing video games to look forward to over the coming months. Most recently, we've had the second Day of the Devs presentation of the year and we've collected together all the Switch games featured in the July broadcast.
Double Fine and iam8bit's annual event is dedicated to highlighting upcoming indie games and the first Day of the Devs Showcase was broadcast back in June. However, this strangest of years has yielded a second Summer Games Fest edition of the event, and a further one has been announced for November.
So, let's take a look at every confirmed Switch game from July edition of the Day of the Devs Showcase.

Rogue Company (Summer Game Fest)

SMITE (God of the Moon) (Summer Game Fest)

Untitled Goose Game (Physical Edition)
iam8bit, Skybound Games and House House are proud to announce Untitled Goose Game's first-ever Physical Editions for PS4 and Switch, along with a release of the game's soundtrack on Vinyl. In addition to a standard boxed edition, the iam8bit-exclusive Lovely Editions will feature "eco-packaging" made from beautiful recycled material.

Unto The End
Unto The End is a 2D cinematic combat-adventure, featuring a nuanced combat system and handcrafted encounters, which follows a father’s journey through an unforgiving wilderness to get back to his family.

Mundaun
Mundaun is a lovingly hand-pencilled horror tale set in a dark, secluded valley of the alps. Players will explore areas full of secrets, survive hostile encounters, drive vehicles and solve a variety of hand-crafted puzzles in the search for truth.

I Am Dead
I Am Dead is a charming puzzle adventure game from the creators of Hohokum and Wilmot’s Warehouse about exploring the afterlife.

Figment 2: Creed Valley

Dreamscaper

Alba: a Wildlife Adventure
Note: While Alba is only confirmed for "iOS, MacOS, tvOS, PC, and console" (so, not Switch specifically), it seems likely that this game from ustwo, the developers of Monument Valley, will be heading to Nintendo's console. With that in mind, we've included the trailer below:
Alba: AWA is developed by a core team of 25 developers, but is also a deeply personal story. The game is inspired by the team's love of nature and their own fond memories of childhood summers in the Mediterranean.
Mechinus
Note: Mechinus from Huey Games is a puzzle platformer built in Unity. Platforms are unconfirmed at the moment, but we include the trailer here because a Switch launch seems likely given the developer's past work:

Tunche, I Am Dead and Alba seem interesting. Shame Dreamscaper is a Roguelike, it's very pretty but after several attempts it's just not a genre that I enjoy.
Is Blasphemous worth buying to anyone here? I'm curious but I never hear anyone talk about it.

Almost like a Nindies direct - one that I wasn't even aware was happening.
Unto The End looks like it could be good - sort of like an Inside type game with some combat and set in prehistoric times. Mundaun also looks intriguing.

Quite a few of these look pretty interesting. Dunno which ones I'll end up buying yet but will be at least keeping an eye on a majority.
@SpaceboyScreams Blasphemous? Sure is, buddy. I put 3 hours into the eShop demo, but had to sell my Switch recently and haven’t invested in the full game. Seriously, try the demo, I loved it!
@SpaceboyScreams It is awesome! The style! The lore! It is difficult and yet keeps you trying. One of the most memorable games from overflowing market.

Mundaun, Unto the End, I am Dead, and Alba all lookin glike my sort of jive.
Wow so many to catch my eye, all very good looking games, it will just depend on which ones tickle my fancy gameplay wise. Lovely
@SpaceboyScreams I wasn’t into it, it’s really ham fisted with the religious crap and it plays exactly the same as all the other games it copies. The ending is also incredibly disappointing. Made me never want to touch it again.
@SpaceboyScreams oh absolutely! It's one of those Metroidvanias in the same vein as Hollow Knight, at times it can be frustratingly difficult but it's intensely satisfying when you overcome that boss that was giving you trouble. The lore is super interesting too, so if you're into Metroidvanias is definitely worth your time.
Why was Rouge Company even in the direct if it was in the Day of the Devs?
Look like fun games, roque company has my intention.
But guys dont you think the switch now start to need a very big game soon like zelda or metroid.
I have the feeling the apealing of the switch starts to decline, well its my personal feeling how how i look at the switch at this moment.
Of course there is enough to enjoy, but i mean to get more people to the switch something special has to happen within next 4 months before those nextgen consoles will be launched.
I look forward to pga in the meantime, its been awhile since there has been a worthy golf game:)
WTF is An Airport For Aliens Currently Run By Dogs. That looks like straight garbage. Alba might be cute. Void Train looks better than I thought it was going to be. Might be worth buying.
