Nintendo Co., Ltd., Creatures Inc., and Game Freak Inc. have applied for two brand new trademarks in Japan, according to Japanese Nintendo.
The trademarks are for 伝説の鼓動 (Densetsu no Kodou), which literally translates to 'The Legendary Heartbeat', and アメイジングレア, which translates to 'Amazing Rare'. Both trademarks have been put in place for multiple purposes including trading card games and video games.
It's worth noting that, as is always the case with trademark applications, these phrases may never end up actually being used. Having said that, we'd argue that both terms would certainly fit with the official Pokémon Trading Card Game. 'The Legendary Heartbeat' could well end up being a new expansion name, while 'Amazing Rare' could potentially become a new card rarity?
That's all speculation on our part, of course, but hopefully we'll learn more about how these new trademarks might be used in the near future.
What do you think they could be? Share your ideas below.

There’s always new pokemon stuff on the way..
Perhaps it has something to do with the mythic pokemon?
They sound like they could be related to the new mythical Pokémon they're revealing a few days.
I'm thinking this has to do with the as mentioned Sword/Shield Mythical Pokemon, that is to be announced this week. Based on Gamefreak's pattern of releases these past few generation cycles they are more than likely to announce a Sinnoh remake as the next main title. I would think the title of those games would be in relation to those games namesake like Dynamic Dymond and Pristine Pearl or something like that.
But, let's be honest any new generation or the Sinnoh remakes are probably not happening till 2021 since we are getting Isle of Armour and Crown Tundra this summer and winter. Which I think is a good thing as it gives the games more time to shimmer and shines when they get announced.
New third version announced includes all the DLC and more old Pokemon
I just want another Pokémon fighting game.
Sounds like it's pretty much confirmed to be TCG stuff, based on store listings/leaks. Legend's Heartbeats being an upcoming Japanese set, and Amazing Rare cards just being another type of card. (https://www.serebii.net/news/2020/25-February-2020.shtml)
@Bisylizzie Sounds about right. I see no reason why this would be game-related unless it's part of the unveil new mythical Pokemon. Which will probably be in the new set of TCG cards if I'm a betting man. Gotta give Nintendo, Creatures Inc and Gamefreak credit they know how to get people hyped over a simple trademark.
I don't follow the TCG, but based on Gamefreaks release patterns and the DLC no way is it a new generation of games or a remake this early. Though they could always surprise us with a Let's Go Tokipi and Let's Go Marill (Gen 2 remakes?) this year or something like that... nah its TCG.
LegendaryHeartbeat Pearl and AmazingRare Diamond?
I agree, it definitely seems to point more towards the TCG.
I'm still wondering what that "Monpoké" trademark they made last year or so could mean.
Will we finally get any new news about Detective Pikachu 2 for Nintendo Switch? I am still waiting for that sequel after they announced it during the Pokémon 2019 Press Conference
(And also, Pokémon Sleep)
