Since starting out life on Kickstarter, Shovel Knight has always had close ties with Nintendo systems. Nintendo even acknowledged this by adding Yacht Club's popular indie hero to its all-star fighting game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as an assist trophy.
This close bond with Nintendo appears to have paid off – with Yacht Club Games' Sean Velasco and David D'Angelo recently revealing Switch game sales account for "25% of total sales on all platforms". As "wild" as the sales currently are on the Switch, the Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove collection is still selling "decently" on other platforms.
In July, Yacht Club Games celebrated Shovel Knight's fifth anniversary. In this short time frame, he's made over 25 cameos and has sold more than 2.5 million copies of his game across 12 different platforms. His next outing is in Shovel Knight: King of Cards and Shovel Knight Showdown next week, and is expected to follow this up in Shovel Knight Dig in the near future.

dig !
I have it on 3DS and Wii U.
with the physical release, I will also have it on Switch.
the first game I've ever triple dipped on. it's just that forking good.
I’m about to add to that when the physical drops!!
@CharlieGirl
For me that was Vampire Bloodlines
I have that ...seven times I think.
Cd, dvd, gog and steam versions.
My original cd version developed a crack inside the inner ring and went splodie in my dvd drive. Killing it and the dvd drive.
I decided that would never happen to me again.
And I hit ebay to buy 4 dvd versions
Whatever happens now I can play Vampire bloodlines.
25% is pretty impressive considering it's now the third Nintendo system, alongside PS3/4/Vita, Windows/Apple/Linux, XB One, and apparently the Amazon Fire TV all have it.
I bought it on Wii U and Switch.
I have it on switch myself. I don't think I'll get it physically though, just really excited for KoC..
Man, no wonder they find it profitable to release 4 flippin amiibo with King of Cards...
Been waiting for the physical for switch since announced. Already have it on 3DS but can’t wait to play it again, well, when I have cleared out some of my backlog
I backed this game for PC and have since bought it for both my PS4 and Switch. It is such a great game that just keeps on giving. Thank you, Yacht Club! Can't wait to support them on whatever project comes next.
@MH4 It's only been two years since they put the 3 pack on pre order.
I have it on 3ds, Wii u and Switch.
@Chunkboi79 It feels longer...I’m so glad the wait finally over!!
@MH4 I know, it's sad to see the shovel knight saga come to an end. However, they have spoiled us. That's my only complaint is that their communication on the 3 pack and king of cards was lacking. I will never argue the quality of their games tho.
@Chunkboi79 I agree that they could’ve had clearer communication, but the sheer fun that King of Cards and Showdown will inevitably be (if the past 3 campaigns are any indicator) will be well worth the wait and slight hassle
@CharlieGirl I have it on Wii U, then I bought the cross-buy PS4/Vita release, and then I still ended up buying it on Switch.
The triple dip is hard to resist.
