Back in January of last year, we featured an awesome, custom-made Super Mario Odyssey-themed Switch dock which had been created by Etsy seller, Senpai3D. Now, they're back, and this new creation is every bit as wonderful as the last.
What you see before you is a 3D-printed model of Koholint Island, the setting of Zelda: Link's Awakening which has conveniently just launched on Switch. You simply place your Switch into the slot and hook up the included extender cable to your real Switch dock. Senpai3D says it can also be used as a funky charging station for your Switch Lite (but obviously can't be used to truly dock it) and there's even a space for an amiibo on the beach.
If you're interested, you can go ahead and order one for yourself on Etsy as we speak.

I want it, nintendo is missing an opportunity making really cool special edition docks.
Heh. I feel like i'm the only one that dislikes these things.
I appreciate the work that went in to it and the Amiibo holder is a good touch, but otherwise it looks like you've caved in your child's toy or art and crafts model and stuck a black tablet through it.
The short is that they don't compliment each other at all.
@Folkloner - I get where you're coming from. I enjoy more subtle designs myself. After the overbearing "what am I going to do with this now?" Dispkay from Disney Infinity, I learned a harsh lesson.
But I can still appreciate from afar.

No doubt it's a piece of art but the stark switch tablet simply dosent fit well in the middle of the scene as it is. It's still beautiful and must have taken hours.....
Very talented!!
That is very creative!
Been looking for a nice stand for the son's Switch Lite and this looks absolutely lovely, but it's a bit pricey considering it's without Link as well.
Whoa! That looks amazing.
@Folkloner I can 100% get where you are coming from, its not for everyone which is why I made the amiibo slot optional as well as the switch cutout itself optional as well. That way you have choices, even if you just want the island as a cool figure
@Folkloner I think it's more of the concept that is appealing. Like sure, if we put a guy who just did this for fun as a DIY project, then yeah it's not going to look professional. However, if we got companies putting together little landscaped docks, you might end up rather impressed.
@Folkloner
Looks nice but the fact you need to still have the original dock and have it hooked up to this makes it pretty irrelevant. I don't have room for that kind of stuff, unless of course it is official Nintendo products.
Such a wasted effort putting a handheld focused game like Link's Awakening on a home console! Since Switch Lite is a Switch, and according to Wikipedia Switch is a home console only replacing the failed Wii U (a home console), not the 3DS (a handheld), it means Switch Lite is a home console since it's a Switch and Switch is a home console. Shame I can't play this on the go like its original version. Oh well, if it can't be played on a handheld, I'll just have to pass since I only play handhelds, and according to Wikipedia, 3DS has no successor.
@Folkloner that's pretty lame reasoning
@gamefreak77 i took a drink everytime you said "switch". Had to get my stomach pumped.
Go on, whip out your dock.
@MBII That's a pretty lame critical takedown of my reasoning
Everyone on here is basically praising the diorama, and they should, it's a great piece. But the piece as a whole 'includes' the amiibo and the Switch, and there it both follows good design principles 'and' doesn't simultaneously.
When integrating two things, you need to have them compliment one another or blend in.
Look at the Pikachu Eevee Switch for example, it follows the Switch's minimalist design with etched outlines of both Pokemon on the dock, elegantly matched to the colour Joy-Cons on the side.
The diorama has a Link amiibo placed in to an artistic recreation of the environment in which the character adventures in the game. Great.
The Switch is just a black monolith at odds with everything else in the piece.
@Folkloner If you feel like you're the only one who dislikes them, that's simply because you're misinformed. It's janky as hell, both in appearance with the Switch slapped in the middle and with the cord lassoing it an empty dock. It doesn't look good. And a lot of people agree. Actually, they can be made whole as a display item without the dock section carved into it and if the comments on the product pages are any indication, many purchases have opted to buy it simply to display on a shelf.
@gamefreak77 Is there some point to your comment? It's obvious you're trying to be funny or critical in some manner, but the reason seems to elude me. What the hell does anyone care what Wikipedia classifies anything as?
It looks awesome, but why not design it so that the entire dock fits into the diorama rather than just the Switch?.......to get rid of the messy cords between the two docks and have it as one neat and tidy integrated unit that houses and hides the black dock and console.......kinda like how the the light up Pokemon Switch dock houses the actual switch dock.....but better cause it would hide the Switch and dock....like a dock dock I guess lol 😂 I’d buy that 😀
Looks pretty nice.
