Level-5 has revealed the Japanese release date for the upcoming Yo-Kai Watch 4 in the latest issue of Corocoro magazine. Those in Japan, or anyone with a Japanese eShop account, can get their hands on the game from 6th June.
No pricing has been revealed for the region just yet, but having a solid release date is definitely great news. Originally, the game was intended to launch back in winter 2018, before being delayed to spring 2019. It seems that another minor delay has been put in place since then, too, but at least we have a fixed date going forward.
Limited copies of the game are reportedly set to release with a crystal Yo-kai Ark, a successor of sorts to the Yo-kai Medals which can be used to summon Yo-kai themselves.

Never watched the series but the gameplay video made me want the game.
Will be waiting for UK in hope though.
My younger self would've loved this even more than I think I do now.
6th June? So close to my birthday, but I'll wait to support the english release (hopefully this year).
I have both 1, 2 and 3 for the 3DS. I actually prefer them to Pokémon as I favour the battle mechanic in Yo-Kai. Games packed with variety, charm and polish.
Cant say I'm a big fan of the series or gameplay (looks like it plays like an older Digimon game), but my younger brother adores Yokai Watch so might pick it up on the UK release.
More excited about Pokemon Sword/Shield to be honest. I've always preferred turn-based mechanics.
@Pazuzu666 Same here. This one looks like it will have the same battle mechanics from Ni No Kuni, can't wait for this one to hit the states.
Hopefully the very kind people of level 5 Japan company can translate this to English version soon!

@christ15 Unfortunately for us in the UK we have to wait for them to translate it into English, French, Spanish & German before we get our copies.
I've only played the first game but I did quite enjoy it. Much better than Pokemon as far as being a single player game goes. Pokemon does has the competitive battling as a redeeming factor though.
Real talk, I'm actually a little more interested in this than the new Pokemon game. The only downside is I don't think the combat will be as deep as Pokemon's, and the PvP aspect probably will be nonexistent.
Still kind of interested though.

We're one step closer to getting this outside of Japan...in 2021.
I'm content to wait. I enjoyed the first game but still need to play a version of 2 and grab 3 when it drops in price a little.

@BenAV get yokai watch 2 specters, it has competitive battles in menu ( even better in 3 with new grid and dungeoneering )
@Gurtelytis Unfortunately the UK is part of the continent of Europe even if it leaves the EU. It still makes more sense for distributors to include the main European languages in games shipped this way.

Yes! Finally ... one of the main reason I've bought the Nintendo Switch is because of this game franchise even though they haven't announced before that they will create a yokai watch game for the NS back 2017 I just hope and dream of it and now it is becoming a reality. Hope this game won't disappoint.
