The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is considered by many to be a particularly beautiful game in a variety of ways, but this fan-made remix somehow manages to make the world feel even more alive than ever before.
YouTube user liltommyj has taken a whole host of sounds found within the game itself, from character voices and nature sounds to sword clangs and interactive objects, to create an all-new music track which wonderfully encompasses the world we've all come to know and love. The remix is fittingly called 'Open Your Eyes' and you can check it out in full below.
We've always been rather content with our original Breath of the Wild playthrough up until now, never really feeling any need to go back and play through the game again, but the combination of the piece and visuals from the game suddenly has us wanting to jump headfirst back into Hyrule. If you have fond memories of playing the title, or even if you're still experiencing everything it has to offer today, make sure to give it a watch.
Do you miss Breath of the Wild's open-world adventure? Are you still yet to try out the game for yourself? Let us know in the comments.

i wish there was a reason to go back to play botw, already have 120 shrines , no interest in collecting all 900 seeds, there needs to be a mode after u kill ganom that the blood mood stops and u can go around all kill all the badies without them coming back
Just watching the video, you understand instantly how this game is so special ! I have spent 400 hours in this game and I think I could still play it now... just incredible experience... even those sounds they used in the remix, they speak to you directly deep inside... Fabulous !
That’s was simply beautiful. Amazed
Just remembered, I still haven't gone up against Ganon yet, got distracted with other games coming out. Will finish it this weekend.
14 shrines left (I'm really going everywhere the Hero's Path tells me I haven't been yet in order to do so), 4 beasts completed, and I'm going to do the Trial of the Sword, the Champions Ballad DLC and of course all the side quests I haven't done yet. After that I'll fight Ganon and finish the game, not going to search for the 500+ seeds I haven't found yet.
But although I love the game, after investing near 200 hours in it (that's what I guess I'll have invested once I finish it) I'll put it back on the case and leave it on the shelf. Too many games I have on the waiting list.
Very good video!
Man, this sounds amazing. Brings back those great memories from Breath of the Wild. Really want to listen this on Spotify though, just like other Nintendo songs.
@NintendoFan4Lyf same here!
@jockmahon wait! After you kill Ganon the bloody moon keeps coming? That makes absolute no sense!
@setezerocinco it doesn’t save after you defeat Ganon. When you start the game again after the credits Ganon is still doing his thing so There’s so post Ganon world.
On topic this remix sounds unreal. Muchos respect for this person!
Amazing! I'll be honest, while most people have long since left this game, I've keep coming back, and I'm still finding new stuff!
@Cobalt It's true. The sound design is amazing. Will stay with you forever, and a simple moment of it's sounds, will instantly bring back the feels
@PLAYwithGregg
This is the best proof of the awesome job they did. I even can visualize the map in real time in my head... o_O
I mean, this is absolutely crazy because it's like I WAS THERE, ME ! o_O
Zelda Breath of the Wild is not a game, I swear it goes beyond gaming.
What a lovely remix! A lot of work clearly went into it.
I'm waiting for the complete mod that lets you play as Zelda, and the Mirror Mode to get a kinda fresh experience next time i play it
Of course I'm still playing it occasionally, there's so much stuff to do in this game!
I still need to go back and do the hard mode.... just not sure when I'll have another 300 hours to do everything
Miss the sense of magic this game instilled in me. For the first time since childhood I felt a true sense of wonder just exploring, can't wait for the next time a game will do that for me. Thanks Nintendo.
I miss Hyrule
Not bad, not bad at all.
