WarioWare Gold is out next month on the 3DS and in preparation for the release, Nintendo’s Japanese YouTube account has uploaded a new four-minute overview trailer of the game.
The recent demo made available on the 3DS eShop at the start of this month allowed players to go hands-on with Wario's latest outing, and this trailer is somewhat an extension - showing the hundreds of microgames on offer. Similar to previous releases, you’ll be required to make use of the system’s touch screen, gyro controls, in-built mic, and buttons.
As well as this, Nintendo has uploaded three local commercials for the game and a trailer showing Wario getting the gang back together. Take a look at these below, and tell us in the comments if you’re planning on picking up WarioWare Gold when it arrives on the 3DS next month.

Looks fun like most all Warioware games but what's that system it's running on? Was that thing one of the items found in that recently discovered Egyptian sarcophagus?
@JHDK Shameless plug - I think it is this:

time to break my piggy bank and buy me "WarioWare Inc: Mega Party Games" for Nintendo Gamecube to celebrate this releasing in August (NA/JPN)!
I'm really happy they're bringing back the "Gamer" erm... game from Game & Wario. This really does look to be the best WarioWare yet, though I am getting a bit tired of greatest hit compilations and definitive editions from Nintendo and other companies. The rumors of a Scribblenauts collection excite me, as I'd love to have all those games on my Switch, but still, I've already played and beaten them. I sure wish there was more to play that was... I dunno... new? That being said, I'm still very excited to finally have a WarioWare game on 3DS, and there does at least seem to be quite a bit of new content on offer.
@Aozz101x August isn't far off at all, and WarioWare Gold includes lots of microgames from across the series, including Mega Party Games, so why not only get that one? But hey, you do you!
Not sure whether I'll get this or not. The WarioWare series is very underrated and unique, and in fact, Touched is probably my favorite game on the DS. It looks like almost all of the microgames on this game were also on an old game though.
Also, why does Nintendo always wait until the very end of a console's run to release the most experimental titles? That was part of the problem Conker's BFD had, as with Drill Dozer on the GBA. Now, they waited until everyone will be done with their 3DS for a while to release a new title in a series which hasn't had a new game in 8 years.
Not interested in this obviously (sarcasm)
Why Why Why is this not on Switch??? WarioWare is one of my all time favorite franchises, however I have retired my 3DS and won't be going back....even for this gem.
I pray that they eventually bring this over to Switch where I will pre-order, pre-load, pre-whatever just to have it.
Also, while I am ranting... let's get a Rhythm Heaven game on Switch ASAP as well.
Okay rant over
@Dayton311 I'm personally fine with it, as I always thought it was such a shame the 3DS never had its own WarioWare game; it seemed like such a glaring omission from its otherwise solid library. I think much like how Mario Party had a compilation on 3DS--The Top 100--and is now getting a brand-new game on Switch, we'll eventually see something similar with WarioWare and hopefully Rhythm Heaven as well. I'm just glad to see the franchise alive and returning to form after all these years, with the last entry being a spin-off sort of deal on Wii U that apparently sold pretty poorly.
@Not_Soos I get it, and agree with you that we will most likely see something down the line on switch. Also, I want to mention...I absolutely loved my 3DS and played it to death during it's lifespan in my various suitcases / backpacks. I just hate that it comes so late where I feel a ton of people will skip it (like me unfortunately) and it will miss an important sales mark that makes Nintendo think twice about releasing more.
Bit over dramatic theory I know, but I worry lol
@Dayton311 I don't think that will happen. Nintendo is one of the oldest players in the industry, so they know and understand software sales will start wavering as the hardware becomes obsolete. Ocarina of Time outsold Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess outsold Skyward Sword by a decent margin in their respective console generations, not because one game was better than the other, but because they released at far different stages in the consoles' life cycle. I suppose it would be a bad PR move to admit it, but I think Nintendo knows the 3DS is on its way out, and that's why we've been getting so many remakes and ports and best-of collections on the platform.
I think a lot of people will still pick up WarioWare Gold, though, and I believe Return of Samus did considerably well last year. That wasn't the case for Hey! Pikmin or Miitomo, but not that many people were interested in those games anyways. I think Nintendo sees and understands that difference. It's definitely a shame for people like you who don't want to pick the 3DS back up anymore, which I totally understand and in most cases feel the same way, but I don't think you need to worry about the future of the franchise. As I said, Game & Wario sold rather abysmally, to my understanding, yet here we are with a new game!
Wowsers. I am soo tempted to get this. Warioware is always a joy to play.
@Not_Soos, I hate when people use sound logic to make good points! lol, you have made me feel much better now so thank you
I hope it sells well for sure so they keep pumping these weird ass titles out for years to come
This looks amazing I’m in.
Wario Ware is a party game in its core. This should be on Switch... or at least the sequel.
This suffers from the Mario Party portable titles. Nobody wants to play this alone.
On the other hand.... sigh.... if I don't have any choice... yeah, I will play this alone in a single screen... because I love Wario Ware.
But please Nintendo... this should really be a console title, we want multiplayer.

WarioWare is always a goofy good time. Hopefully we'll eventually get one for Switch.
I hate that they changed the name to Gold while the Japanese title is GORGEOUS!!!
I don't know about these "greatest hits" games. Mario Party The Top 100 wasn't well received.
I don't have more than one WarioWare game, which means I could be the target for this release, but I don't know. No 3D... usually no purchase for me.
I'm glad the 3DS it's getting at least one Wario game but I would like to know how many of this are actually new mini games or all of them are returning mini games
That 3D model of Ashley looks like it took a lot of work. Kind of unusual that they would make a 3D model just for one character on a game designed for a system in its twilight years. Unless, of course, they needed the model to make a playable fighter in a different (E ticket) game and they’re only reusing it...
Think I'll be getting this one. I do wonder though, are you expected to jump from holding the stylus to suddenly using button controls between micro games, or do stylus games get put in a separate group?
I'll definitely be getting it. I loved the demo! Isn't it out this month, though? Pretty certain it's 27th July.
@wazlon Both! There are times when it's all one type of control, and others when you have to swap between them all. Try the demo and you'll see what I mean. It's fun!
It's been awhile since I've played a Warioware game, so I'm definitely overdue. It helps that the title includes Gamer, which was definitely my favorite aspect of Game & Wario (though Patchwork was fun too).
@Not_Soos i was thinking of getting both. it will also be something to play while im waiting for Gold's midnight launch.
Wait is that a Minecraft 2DS...
@Tyranexx : Sketch and the Camera multiplayer modes were also brilliant and took advantage of what made the Wii U unique.
@Silly_G: Most unfortunately, I wasn't able to delve into the multiplayer games much. Couldn't find anyone who wanted to play the game with me. As mixed as the results were, I did enjoy some of the gashapon prizes as well.
@Tyranexx : The prizes were great fun as well. I hope that WarioWare includes a special Joy-Con with an in-built microphone and/or camera (even if it's just a Wii U/3DS grade 0.3 megapixel one). That could really open up some wild possibilities.
@Silly_G: Definitely! I daresay the series is a good show of what each platform that it appears on can do! Though kid me never really enjoyed blowing into the microphone in Touched!; A lot of lightheaded-ness resulted because I didn't realize at the time that you didn't have to blow so hard. XD
I absolutely cannot wait for this! I have it preordered and will pick up day 1
@Tyranexx : I've always hated, hated the microphone activities in Touched, but I think the activities in Game & Wario made some pretty hilarious use of the microphone and camera.
