Inti Creates hasn't wasted any time familiarising itself with the Nintendo Switch. Since the launch of the system, the Japan-based company has released charming games like Blaster Master Zero and more recently Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon.
The first time we heard about its newest title, Dragon: Marked for Death, was back in August last year during the Nindies Summer Showcase for Switch. The latest update is the game is scheduled to arrive exclusively on Nintendo's platform this winter, with the developer releasing an official trailer to coincide with the announcement.
In this side-scrolling action-RPG, players are able to team up with three other people as they take on 30 quests. There are a total of four classes including the Empress, Warrior, Shinobi and the Witch, and there's also a story driven by revenge.
Take a look at the trailer and tell us in the comments if you’re excited about the next game by Inti Creates.

Looks interesting. Will consider a buy when it comes out
Ummm what?
...I'll give it a shot. Inti creates makes good platformers.
This game looks awesome, a definite download.
I’m in
I was expecting this one!
This looks really cool. It is nice to see female representation in games. I've really enjoyed both Blaster Master and Bloodstained, so this is a must buy for me.
@NESlover85 - Shame it's muddled with those pesky secondary male characters. =P
Has the 3DS version been canned?
looks good. 😀
Looks great
A few days old news...
Inti Creates make awesome 2D action games. This is already on my wishlist.
Love the art!
Eagerly anticipating this one!
I need it, physically. And Azure Striker Collection. And I wish they’d do a physical version of Blaster Master.
Wow its nice that this game has co op, makes it all the better and worth buying.
WOW! This looks like a really cool GBA game! But 4 players? Gonna have to dig out those link cables!
... Wait, you're telling me this game is releasing on the Switch?
I haven’t played their games other than Blaster Master Zero which I thought was some hot garbage. I’ve heard plenty of good about Bloodstained though, so i’m wondering if I just got into the wrong game by them or if BMZ is fairly representative of their style.
dovahkiin?
Trailer looks good, but it seems to be a game tailor-made for coop. I just wish the Switch had a more solid foundation for this, like being able to send messages to friends, having a LFG (looking-for-group) function, built in voice chat and the ability to properly join games direclty from the friendlist. Maybe they can pull a Fortnite on us and do their own voice chat thing and sweeten that with a good in-game matchmaking system, as Nintendo seems unwilling or unable to move the Switch ahead in these areas =(
@Whalehome Really? Oo I really enjoyed BMZ, it was my first Switch game and I am not normally into this kinda stuff, like Mighty Gunvolt Burst was not for me for instance. You're literally the first person I came across that consider BMZ garbage. What about it didn't you like?
Dragon Marked for Death goes in a very different direction gameplay-wise from what I can tell, but still, there will be plenty of similarities with BMZ for sure in terms of visual, sound and probably controls, I guess. So ... well, if you really hated BMZ, I'm not sure any of Inti's stuff will be for you.
Oh, how this would make for an amazing Christmas gift...
Co-op? Oke yes! Definitely welcome in my library. Games looks fun to play! Specially on the go.
@Ralek85 the out-of-vehicle battles were fun, but after I had my strongest gun ability, i felt overpowered as I mowed down enemies. I didn’t enjoy the platforming or even some of the parts where I had to figure out that I needed a certain ability to continue. The story was by far the worst aspect. It felt so hastily written.
...you had me at Inti Creates...
Looks great! I am on this.
I really like what I see here but there is something strange with this trailer.
It's like they've chosen to show only tiny piece of gameplay and level design. I think there is a catch behind that. Espacially when you pay attention to details.
For example, when the character does several walljumps, there is no animation at all o_O... Like they have code the "wall jump" but the sprite frames for that action are not done...
Another thing, the small glimpse that is possible to see about the stages, it's seems to be ultra minimalistic, like a flat ground just straight or a noncurved slope, just straight...
I need to see more about it... even if I like the artstyle !
@Whalehome I see! Honestly then, I am not sure you will get that much out of their other output. I mean, just in terms of story for instance, if you are looking for something more, uhm, substantial, I feel like you are looking entirely in the wrong place with their stuff. At it's heart, these are still very much arcade games for the most part.
Online AND local? Im 100% getting this. My friends and I will have a blast with this.
Not big into RPGs, but I'll probably pick it up at launch or soon after - Inti have never really disappointed me.
Ya, pretty much anything Inti Creates makes gets my attention
@Whalehome you really though blaster master was garbage? Did you play the original.
Inti Creates has some great stuff, this is actually one of my more anticipated games. Sort of reminds me of Muramasa.
@DownRightSam no. I never owned an NES. And I haven’t played many NES games on virtual console either.
Looks like crap. People are delusional these days, everyone praising the most ugly games and saying it's an instant buy and giving them 10's. Ridiculous! Edit; Inb4 some1 tell me that I should go back to pc or ps4. I hate graphic snobs but this is getting silly.
Inti creates had me at couch coop. In these days its essential.
I'm all in. Inti Creates makes some of the best 2D games, and it's nice to see another new IP from them.
It’s Inti Creates, so I’m sold as soon as it launches!
A full year after the launch window when it was first announced
Looks cool, definitely checking it out. I'm glad it's not just another 8-Bit inspired game.
Winter eh?
I look forward to this being one of the games I play with friends/family on New Year's.
Day 1! Can't wait to stream it!
IntiCreates has delivered nothing but golden retro entertainment since Day 1. So it's a "Day 1" for me too! Looks terrific!
.......okay, "Day1" physical release 😊👍🏻
Day 1 buy.
@Whalehome if you've never played the original, I totally get not loving it. Held a lot of nostalgia for me
@Audiobrainiac agreed, iut's sillt that Blaster master doesn't have one.
Day one purchase, looks fantastic.
Good! Finally not just hack/slash game but with level up system. You'll get rewarded for slashing those monsters!
The art style looks great, but I don't think I need this game in my life. Call it indie side-scroller fatigue, as that seems to be the cause. Same reason why I'm not really excited for Bloodstained.
Cute graphics, but could we for once have some game that look from this century?
Just saying, but it feels like we have 99% retro style games on switch.
When I bought my switch, I didn't expect to get a GBA with a bigger screen.
The oldboys on this team are so much better with 2D stuff than the 3D we're seing in Ritual of the Night.
I got the same vibe from Comcept.
@Audiobrainiac. Same.
Will get if physical.
Could be fun.
@Cobalt
With no release date announced, it's likely we're seeing a work inprogress on those fronts, with levels and many of the animations simply not finished. Probably why they focus on the dramatic character art.
