Nintendo continues to support and back ARMS on the Switch, just recently confirming that a new stage is on the way. That post had a pretty obvious tease that a new character will accompany the stage, and now that's been stepped up further.
As you can see in the tweet below there's the usual fuzzy-cam trick used when giving a glimpse at upcoming characters.
It's pleasing to see Nintendo backing ARMS, and this scribe certainly feels the need to fire it up for another chance. Let us know if you'll be giving the new stage and character a spin.

@evilnatt kinda wish I could watch the video but I'm using 4g in the middle of nowhere..
Nintendo UK Tweeted a much clearer version of the clip.

Looks like a monkey?
New fighters are always welcome!
@MonkiPlays This exactly.
It looks like he can throw a mask (a bit like Cappy from Mario Odyssey).
This will definitely tempt me to dust off the game
And "this scribe" ☝👆is a scribe that scribes scribary. In case you didn't know...

This method of adding free, compelling content over time is such a great way of keeping a game fresh. I wish Pokken could take a page from ARMS that way.
Saw that picture on the landing page and for a brief moment I thought it was a screen from the upcoming Zelda expansion. Then I read the headline and my shoulders slumped.
December can't come soon enough.
This was my sons most wanted game until he got caught up with all the hype over the Super Mario Odyssey launch. So looking forward to Christmas morning, Nintendo Switch, ARMS, Odyssey and Splatoon 2, he's gonna lose it lol.
If you pause it at just the right frame it appears this new fighter has a Biff-like mask over a larger, jagged one.
@MartyFlanMJFan ARMs is such a great game to play with kids, I play through the Grand Prix at least once a week co-op with my son. Make sure to give the motion controls a fair shake, the physical activity and dexterity is also a huge benefit. I love watching my kids flinging their arms about frantically and leaning until they almost fall over.
@ACK I will do, thank you! Was going to pick up a pro controller for him, but maybe I should get another set of joy-con...?
I think I'll get this game after I finally get through Zelda. I've been keen to try it out.
@MartyFlanMJFan That's going to be a heck of a Christmas morning! Three amazing games and the Switch? You are making the rest of the parents look bad!
ARMS is really, really good to play with kids. I battle it out with my younger daughter all the time. She beats me 3/4 of the time, but it's all good.
Looks cool!
@evilnatt
Are you spamming here ?
@JasmineDragon so excited for Christmas morning, my son has told me he'll scream if Santa brings a Nintendo Switch lol. I have a Wii U, it's mine & we all love it, but it's gonna be such a big deal that the Switch is his, you know? That's about the only reason I don't have one already, this is going to be HIS and he's gonna freak out... I cannot wait!
I played about 30 hours before I put it down to play something else but this is the kind of game i will pick up again and again through the years and go though the motions of mastering a new fighter. I would think over the next 3 years I get a good 200 hours of play. If we have some quite release windows at least
I have a love hate relationship with this game.
Will definitely give it more time with another fighter.
So far I can only win online with kid chameleon.
I think this is probably the hardest game Nintendo has made since the original punch out, and some times I don't have the patience to be beaten over and over again.
My son just got this for his birthday so we will see how long it keeps him entertained and how the added content helps.
So far so good......as I am not a fighting game fan it does little for me but he has played it non stop today.....at least when I would let him
@Anti-Matter only if the spam is bacon flavored.
And if you hadn't read the comment I was using slow ass internet. So I couldn't have known The other comment existed.
This is such an underrated game, I hope it takes off more in the future. Either from a sequel or maybe a bigger update further into the Switch's lifespan.
We whined when game release are slow but we also whined when the game release are too fast. There's too many games to play. I had to make a choice.
