We were rather pleased when it was confirmed that Thimbleweed Park is coming to the Switch eShop. It's the latest game from Ron Gilbert, who was behind some of the most iconic and memorable point-and-click games of the '90s, such as The Secret of Monkey Island and Day of the Tentacle.
It turns out we don't have too long to wait, either, with confirmation that the release is expected in September. Some details are below, along with a trailer to show what it's all about.
On Nintendo Switch, Thimbleweed Park will support both Joy-Con controllers and touch screen controls so players can easily switch between tabletop, handheld, and TV modes. We don't have a release date nailed down for the Nintendo eShop yet but expect it to be in September.

Are you looking forward to playing Thimbleweed Park on Nintendo Switch?

Not to be confused with TumbleSeed. It looks interesting.
I BLOODY LOVE MY SWITCH!
Yes ! Really want this
The games are coming thick and fast, these next few weeks are crazy.
I've been curious about this. Another game to add to the ever-increasing list of interesting looking games.
@GrailUK So do I, my friend. So do I.
Wish I could be able to get a Switch for me in order to play those games... Really interested in this title.
You had me at "Ron Gilbert".
This is my most wanted game.
I wonder, does it have gyro "aiming" for the cursor?
Of course, the touch screen is very much appreciated.
It's a game deluge on the Switch! Compared to the Wii U drought, this is very much appreciated.
And this is without the VC!!!
I will be purchasing this game
Yeah, I'll buy this
@Varoennauraa If it doesn't have actual gyro pointing in TV mode, this will probably be a handheld-only game for me. Dragging a cursor around with a D-Pad or analog stick just doesn't feel good. Reminds me of when I played Clock Tower on the PS1.
Love the Mulder and Scully tributes. Looks intriguing.
This is in my top 3 games of the past few years with Axiom Verge and Breath of the Wild.
I like point and click games and this is one of the few that has interested me on the Switch so far.
As a fan of classic LucasArts adventures, definitely snagging.
Great! Loving the point-and-click revival.
Passed up last years initial release, but Mr Gilbert well done. You knew people like me would buy it on Switch eventually when their backlog reduced.
Really looking forward to this on Switch, especially with the disappointment of Syberia looking like a straight port of the original game (with weird stretched out aspect ratio).
Awesome news, can't wait to play this! Now if we could get Night in the Woods too and the Full Throttle remaster, I'll be very happy indeed.
