If you follow TV animation then you'll no doubt have seen The Cartoon Network's We Bare Bears, an amusing look at the everyday lives of, well, some bears.
Seemingly out of nowhere, the animated cast of this show have been recruited to star in a new commercial for ARMS on Switch, which you can watch above.
Does this mean we'll see Grizzly, Panda and Ice Bear joining the cast of ARMS in the near future? That's perhaps unlikely, but it's cool to see Nintendo is getting creative with its promotional efforts.
Thanks to Jean for the tip!

I saw that when I was watching Cartoon Network with my younger brother. Really well made commercial.
...Well then. Why not I suppose?
I'm a big fan of We Bare Bears but it's still not as cool as the Super Mario 64 milk commercial.
Agh, I love we bear bears, this is soo cool!
Wow... !
Interesting...
ARMS really needs to have more content. Even these bears will do fine.
Great, now if only Cartoon Network would acknowledge any of its shows besides Teen Titans Go exists instead of screwing over every other creator.
Great crossover. Love it!
I LOVE We Bare Bears.
I don't watch We Bare Bears but this a pretty good commercial
@Exy which one?
@Arlon not the point...
@Luffymcduck
Pssst...
Those Bears possibly become the DLC characters.
I returned to Cartoon Network during my internet-less week and managed to watch a few episodes of them. I'm indifferent to the show but there's certainly worse programming on the network, i.e. Teen Titans Go!, Powerpuff Girls 2016 or Mighty Magiswords.
I like many others would never have seen or known of this ad's existence only for this story. Way to perpetuate that kiddy image Nintendo.
There needs to be a game where the Berenstain Bears fight the We Bare Bears.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE
They want to appeal to as large of a market as possible, and younger players make up a significant portion of their consumers, I'm sure. Obviously we don't want a repeat of Wii U, where the thing was marketed almost exclusively as a kids toy, but it would be a terrible strategy to not advertise to children in some capacity.
Those Wii U commercials were often pretty cringey too, and while I haven't watched this one yet, I think using a known brand like We Bare Bears is a great way to reach out to kids.
Don't worry, I'm sure they'll still make plenty of ads featuring hip, young millenials.
I actually heard this while I was napping this weekend. I thought I was still dreaming 😆
Ice Bear is reasonably amused by this advert.
I would love to see Mordecai and Rigby get an advert too. Especially as there's a few episodes referencing video games in their show.
We Bare Bears earned the right to bear ARMS.
@Arlon
Gumball was apart of a Playstation Vue commercial. Amazing World of Gumball is one the the best CN shows.
@JonSpangler
Gumball ?? Ewww.... >_<
Eh, Rick and Morty's Nintendo reference was better.
@Anti-Matter
The Amazing World of Gumball > Anything not Adult Swim on Cartoon Network.
The announcer made a small mistake when talking about the arms: he called the Popper a ''sparky'' arm when it's actually a windy arm.
@JonSpangler That's a funny way of saying "Steven Universe"
@Bolt_Strike
Gumball > Steven Universe
Wasn't it a web comic before it got picked up as a show? My younger (14 year old) sister loves it.
My cousin has just ordered ARMS, and my son REALLY wants it for Christmas. I think it looks great.
@JonSpangler Steven Universe > Adventure Time > We Bare Bears > Regular Show > Amazing World of Gumball > Everything else on Cartoon Network.
Wait... Nintendo Life thought that Max Brass looked like a bear when he was teased in the ARMS Direct, then he was added... Grizzly, Panda and Ice Bear soon to follow?
@NinjaAceTrainer
I respectfully disagree 100%. Long live the Wattersons!
I love colabs like this.
I guess you could say they had the right to BEAR ARMS.
I'll see my way out....
@Oat: Sorry, beat you to that one.
Sees self out
Oddly enough, they didn't use Teen Titans GO since...that is mostly what is airing on CN now.
Also, we bare bears would made NOICE dlc, but I'm hoping for SQUIDWARD DLC!
I actually like We Bare Bears... I really didn't think I would but after watching a few episodes on Hulu my wife and I ended up watching the full first season with our kids.
@NinjaAceTrainer
Um... I like Codename Kids Next Door on Cartoon Network when it was 2004 - 2007. One of the most unique & creative cartoon that I have ever seen.
Great cartoon (one of my faves on CN, hate Charely episodes though) and a great commercial. Recently got both Arms and Splatoon 2 and resold Splatoon 2 as I just wasn't getting into as much as Arms.
I love this show! Has a surprising amount of heart.
@JonSpangler Fair enough. I do like Gumball, and see why you would prefer it to other CN shows.
@Anti-Matter Yeah, I like that show too, but I was talking about shows that are currently aired on Cartoon Network (in the UK anyway).
Crazy!
