Nintendo and GameTruck have been running multiple promotions over the past couple of years - at different times there have been Splatoon and Super Mario Maker options available. The premise is simple - the US company hosts themed parties within enormous trucks, so that they're mobile shenanigans; gaming is among the options.
It's now been confirmed that Nintendo Switch parties can be booked. Available already in 100 trucks, current Switch bookings include playable versions of 1-2-Switch and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, while Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be added at the end of April once the game hits stores. Bookings should be possible if you decide to take the plunge over on the official website.
It's a welcome extra way to spread the word of the Switch in the US, with this particular partnership running until 20th June. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe parties could prove popular, in any case.

Yay, parties in a truck.
They've been around for a little while. Always thought it was weird to pay you money to drive me around and play your games.... when the same money could buy me the system/games myself. lol
That said, Mario Kart parties are ALWAYS fun be they home or on the road.
I've been to 3 parties that had game trucks and they always seem to be a big hit with the kids and teens. Don't see 1 2 Switch or Zelda getting a lot of play - it's mostly 2D fighters, sports games and FPS on the screens when I pop my head in - but 8 or 12 player MK8D Lan party could be a huge hit. Too bad Spla2oon won't be out yet, 4v4 all in the truck at once would be crazy fun.
@speedracer216 @DanteSolablood These parties are less about the kids wanting to be in a truck, more about the parents wanting the 15 to 20 teen boys and girls being in the truck and not in the house so the parents can drink their beer and wine in peace. The truck is more for the parents than the kids, the parents just let the kids think it's all about them.
@rjejr hahaha... of course.... I didn't think of it that way cuz i'm prob too old for this and my kids aren't old enough yet.
when I turned 13 i just had Blake bring over his newly launched 64 and we all took turns collecting red coins on Mario. Who needs a truck? lol
Yay...
Gotta admit that my kids and their 8-year old friends think 1, 2 Switch is a blast (They pretty much stick to Quick Draw, Fake Draw, Samurai Training, Wizards and, of course, Milk).

@Ryu_Niiyama It's been so long since I've listened to that! I should look it up soon to listen again..
@RyanSilberman I don't know why it popped into my head when I read about this on Nintendo Everything but it stuck and I was waiting on NintendoLife to post something. Starting to miss the 90s. This adulting thing can suck sometimes.

@Mart1ndo I poke out my tongue in your general direction. Don't make me dig through my catalog of craptastic 90's music. I will modify "Are you Jimmy Ray" for this thread if you push me. lol
