Many of you are likely getting stuck into Pokémon Sun and Moon right now, at least if you're fortunate to be in one of the regions where it's already arrived. There's a lot to take in, with the new gen in the series introducing a range of new features and mechanics.
One of these is Poké Pelago, and though you may initially think little of it, it's actually well worth your time to put it to work. Our video man and Pokémaniac Alex Olney breaks down why in the guide video below, helping you to get the most out of the feature.
If you enjoyed that be sure check out our lovely Nintendo Life YouTube channel, and also our Pokémon Sun and Moon review.

Eek! So many new features!!!
@Diamondhero Not to worry, there are thousands who are the same
@Diamondhero Don't worry, I got you.
Pokémon is a simulator where you play as a child who is thrown into a world where animal training is one of its main amenities. After reaching the ripe age of 10 or so, you leave modern society and go and rip animals out of their natural habitat to make them your [strike]slaves [/strike] fierce warriors to help you battle other Pokémon trainers.
By beating the poop out of other trainer's Pokémon in totally legal and organized "battles," you get money to buy stuff for you and your cuddly buddies.
Like the real world, Pokémon are different types. Water, earth, ghost, plasma, titanium, fabulous, fire, and death. There are always more combinations of these Pokémons coming out, so be on the lookout for em
And that's Pokémon. The animal battling simulator of death and fun! Of course, they never die. They faint.
@DarkWario1 ^ I mean... it's not wrong... XDDDD
Also, am I the only one here having to duck and dodge the spoilers everywhere? I've had to unsubscribe from youtubers JUST TO KEEP FROM GETTING SPOILERED! Im not even clicking any pokemon videos, but some people think it's okay to put some unrevealed pokemon in frikkin thumbnails which appear in my recommendeds! Its the worst!
Yeah, I know its the internet and it's my fault for sticking around, blah blah blah, but its not like pokemon's the only thing on youtube. Like I said, I'm NOT clicking sun and moon videos - I've avoided pokemon outright for the past couple of weeks. BUT STILL managed to have a major pokemon spoiled, a plot point spoiled and a minor pokemon spoiled. Its ridiculous!
Maaan, I gotta pick this game up lol
SPOILER ALURT
You put a new Pokémon in at 1:04 lol
though I guess game is out now
@Calllack uk gets it 5 days after noa if i recall.
@edgedino true, it comes out on 22nd I think. that's 4 days, but my preorder copy isn't due to arrive until the 24th.
@Rhydas you're not alone. I'm trying to avoid YouTube but already there's a bunch of channels with it.
