As seasoned Earthbound / Mother fans will know, series creator Shigesato Itoi now runs a company which - amongst other things - creates "Techo" planners and sells them in Japan. These notebooks are incredibly popular in the Land of the Rising Sun, and eminently collectable thanks to their lovely jacket designs.
Itoi's company 1101 has produced Mother-themed techos in the past under its Hobonichi Techo banner, and its 2017 range continues this trend. Of the 80 new designs due to go on sale in Japan at the start of September we've got a couple that reference Itoi's most famous work - one even comes with a Mr. Saturn sticker.
If you fancy buying one of these gorgeous items, then you can expect to pay around $50 before even thinking about shipping. That's quite a lot for what is essentially an organiser, but small change to seasoned Mother fans.

I see what you did there.
@Kirk agreed :/
i liked the previous mother covers better, which is a relief! i'm broke and i'm happy i don't have to feel heartbroken about a new cover as well!
I have my earthbound cast hobonichi planner it's so nice and quite expensive. I plan to use again next year (the cover that is).
I have two or three of the Earthbound covers that I don't use... I just keep them as collector's items. I just use a cheap plain black cover for my hobonichi planner. I also bought this other one called the Hobonichi Weeks for work, but have now gone back to the planner version. Love the Hobonichi, I use a fountain pen with a fine point to write in it.
I'm seriously considering buying one of these.
