If you're a discerning retro collector then the issue of how to properly display loose cartridges will probably keep you up at night. If you're unable to get any shut-eye due to this troubling problem, then YouTube channel My Life in Gaming - along with the equally brilliant Game Dave - is here to help.
They've pooled their collective knowledge to discover the best options for showing off your loose Game Boy carts, as well as other retro gaming items. Surprisingly, both are intended as storage units for make up, but they're the perfect size for carts.

Old Cassette cases are a good way too, there's even a site where you can download and print covers for most GB games.
I keep them in a solid black box and will eventually get small bags for them. But I'm just a paranoid collector
Good tips, and who knows, it could also serve as storage for future NX games...
Meh, I prefer to keep them in their original boxes and put them on a nice shelve instead.
That's pretty awesome! I use Solution #3 (the good ole binder), as I don't have much room for the several stands I would need for my massive collection. It works well for storage and even for finding games, (alphabetical order for the win!). Might get one of these though for NES/N64 games....
Great solution for loose GB carts!
It's a shame that GBA carts are too short to fit nicely because I have about 30 games that I'd love to display this way. Guess they are going to stay hidden away a bit longer.
That is pretty cool.
Anything for N64 game storage/ display?
My old GB carts are just sitting in some box any which way but I'm no collector and they're durable
As I've been recently wanting to display some of my older games I may look into this to display all of my Gameboy games as I use a nice shelf already for my N64 collection.
Much wasted space, but clearly arranged.
@Champ22
They show how it works for other games, and (spoiler alert) it looks pretty good for N64 carts!
Yeah I saw after I watched the video lol yeah looks great for 64 games as well
This is a real thing.
Or you could just make your own :0 for probably cheaper
Huh... I've built cases for art markers and other things out of acrylic myself, but I never thought about doing that for games. I used Legos for that instead. This is a way better idea.
Great idea!
Yes very clever. Think I'm buying one. Just hope my wife won't steal it
Or just keep them in their cardboard-boxes, and display those instead. Though my cardboard-boxes are just into a cupboard. You know, to cut on space (and to prevend dust of course).
Though their way looks much cooler.
