Nintendo UK is putting quite a lot of effort into HYPER JAPAN, the cultural expo that takes place at Olympia, London from 15th - 17th July. With plenty of playable games and events attendees at Nintendo's booth should have plenty to do, but now there's an opportunity for a small number to be the first members of the UK public to go hands on with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Breath of the Wild is going to have daily demonstrations on Nintendo UK's booth stage, but the lengthy playable demo won't be available for everyone at the booth; instead UK residents (12 or over with a guardian, or 18+ alone) can enter a competition to win one of 30 appointments to try the game out. To get into the draw prospective players need to successfully answer five questions on this web page.
The closing time for applicants is 11:59 UK time on Sunday 10th July, with the prize being a ticket to HYPER JAPAN on Saturday 16th July (or two tickets if under 18 with an accompanying adult) along with an allocated slot to play the game. Naturally if you want to enter you need to make sure you're able to get to the venue in London on the day, as no travel or hotel costs are included in the prize.
Are any of you in the UK planning to enter this competition?

Already in. But what about Ireland are words I forsee
Win a chance to have a go at the demo??? Really? I'll just wait until its released next year. I can wait.
Oh well, maybe the October MCM Comic Con?
This was up on the Zelda Facebook page yesterday
I entered!
@BensonUii My drunkenness allows me to PREDICT THE FUTURE! But not the past. Everyone can predict that. Not impressive.
30? Way to spoil people!
But what about Ireland?
Nah, I read the terms & conditions. We Irish are allowed enter this time because it doesn't cost Nintendo a penny. When it suits them we're allowed enter competitions.
@BensonUii I have powers I tell thee. And after seeing enough Doctor Who, I know not to mess with time. Unless its having my woman around for the weekend. At which point freezing time is preferred.
I was tempted to go to Hyper Japan before now. If I win, then I'll definitely be then and enjoy the demo, as well as check out all the non-nintendo goodies.
@BLPs I've found it's not hard to be a soothsayer on this site, all it takes is the headline of an article to be worded a certain way, and I can picture the resulting comments before I click on a link.
Meanwhile, good luck to those lucky 30, I hope you enjoy your Zelda sesh!
I'd love to go, but the Star Wars celebration is in and I'm going to that haha. Perhaps if I had time I might visit!
I'm in Canada and I still can't fathom how this Zelda is retailing for 15$ cheaper than Paper Mario Colour Splash.
75$ for Zelda is still steep, considering that's more than I paid 7 months ago for Arkham Knight and Witcher 3 combined.
But 90$ for Colour Splash? It's bad enough Atlus is charging 70$ for 3DS games.
@NodesforNoids $90 dollars for Color Splash? It should be the same $75 as all other Wii U games.
Nice! 30 lucky people!
Would it really hurt their sales to make a demo available to the loyal Wii U owners who have had to make do with almost no new content for the last 2 years?
