Review Hyrule Warriors Legends (New 3DS / 3DS)
A Link in your pocket
The original Hyrule Warriors was a solid if slightly forgettable attempt at fusing the worlds Zelda and Koei Tecmo's Musou series, and despite its occasionally repetitive gameplay managed to alleviate fears that it would be little more than a shameless cash-in. Now, with the 3DS badly in need of top-drawer software as it...

Preview Hyrule Warriors Legends Takes The Battle On The Road
Smaller in stature, but not in spirit
On paper at least, Hyrule Warriors Legends is a solid business decision. As the 3DS enters its twilight years (no pun intended) AAA software is becoming increasingly hard to come by, and seeing as Koei Temco's Warriors engine already exists on the handheld, Hyrule Warriors is, on face value, a pretty...

I'm not sure what to think about this. I feel like all the exclusive features of this game should have just been patched into the wiiu game with is a real shame. Oh well.
I'm very excited! I don't have a Wii u so when this game came out I felt jipped that they did not put it in the handheld. Very nice.
they need to add the new stuff to wii u as dlc, paid or not, i wanted wind waker characters form the start
@jj87 same! I can't wait!
Well i wonder if the new 3ds runs better as you have a c stick. I have a 3ds and will still play it. I hope there will be a demo on the eshop like smash bros did.
I dint own a wii u but still looks as good as the wii u version, i also hope that it will run as fast as wii u version.
I am looking forward to a price difference!
It may be that owning this game will unlock the wind wakers as characters in the WiiU version. I could've sworn I saw a picture indicating that something like that might be the case...
I was over the moon when I heard about this game. I cannot wait to play as Midna and Fi on my 3ds. Though I wish nintendo would stop down grading the graphics on 3ds games like this, because we have seen through games like super smash bros and Majoras Mask that the 3ds is capable of better quality in games.
@Rhyster2134 I dont think its a real downgrade, i mean, this actually looks real similar to smash 3ds. And smash 3ds has a lot les open land area to navigate in than this does. I think it looks really good. But i am with you, super hyped
@crzysortagamer I know but I feel Nintendo should definitely need to stop underestimating the new 3ds' power, as we've seen from games like smash and Zelda that the 3ds can produce high quality graphics and frame rates from it's games. I mainly fear this as we have seen from the xenoblade chronicles remake, that while the game was good, the graphics were so downgraded. Though I cannot wait for this game because it will bring another fantastic story to the 3ds roster.
As long as they add me and my hat I'm good!
Oh dear, never mind, I'm probably not getting this. I only own the original 3DS, and I just saw footage of the footage demo on the original 3DS. I knew it would be too good to be true. It looks bad! I know I can't expect Wii U quality on the 3DS, but it just looks bad. It looked like it functioned just fine, but it doesn't look nearly as action-packed as the Wii U version. The framerate is especially terrible.
This game was on top of my must-buy list, but it definitely has dropped down now.
CANT WAIT FOR THIS TO COME OUT!!!!!!!!!
Picked up a physical copy of this today and was surprised to find eshop codes in the case for not only the Wii U edition DLC, but also the 3DS Hyrule Warriors Legends theme. Nice.
@RealPoketendoNL It looks better on the New 3DS and has 30 fps compared to Wii 's 29
Don't know if anyone has noticed yet but found small easter egg, when the mission is loading up you can press L,R, B, X and Y buttons for the different tones of an ocarina.
Here's Some Favourites of mine:
BXY BXY
EBY XBY
LRYYX - Shame this doesn't warp you to Lake Hylia like on OoT
@Bunkerneath i love this easter egg its ashame they didnt add it the wiiu version
The only reason why I got this game was for the code that linked the Wii U version, sadly, I didn't get to as I ripped the code out of the pack (didn't know you had to scratch it), so I only played it until I got Linkle, and haven't played it since (espicially since Hyrule Warriors Deluxe came out)
