Mega Man Legacy Collection arrives on the 3DS early next year - a little later than the home console editions - but should be well worth the wait for long-time fans of the series. Compendium of the six "classic" 8-bit adventures, the collection comes with added bonuses for hardcore fans, such as artwork and a special challenge mode.
However, as is often the case, our Japanese friends have reason to feel smug as they are getting a gorgeous limited edition version of the game, complete with a planner, cover and bookmarks.
The catch? It's Japanese so you'll need a Japanese 3DS to play it, and you'll have to order from an importer. Another potential sticking point is the price - Play Asia is asking $120 to pre-order the package.

This looks absolutely gorgeous. At first, I though it was a leather 3DS case.
Well, wouldn't be my first imported 3DS game. But 120$? I'm not enough of a MegaMan fan to even consider that price for what the LE offers. That's way overpriced!
That boxart is astounding, much, much better than the odd looking one the west has gotten.
Dang that's steep. I'm a megaman nut, but 120!?
I look forward to playing my own challenge in the game
Good lord, that's a lot of money!
I would have gotten this if it was a 3DS case...but i don't really need a planner...X3
Would definitely consider getting this as a gift for a friend...if said friend had a Japanese 3DS. It's weird that this isn't coming here, though. That planner looks like the kind of thing that would be sold in those random "retro memorabilia" shops.
Also, haha "classic."
Oh I want it so bad! Lucky, lucky Japanese! X3
A planner and bookmarks? Glad to see they're appealing to the Elementary school crowd. 9 year olds won't be able to resist the appeal of 8 bit games that predate their births by decades! And for only $120!
This is what counts as 'limited edition' nowadays? For $120, I'd at the VERY LEAST expect that Figuarts Mega Man figure slipping it's way in this package. Not good Capcom, not good.
