Capcom has used this year's Tokyo Game Show to announce anime adaptations of its Monster Hunter and Ace Attorney franchises.
Monster Hunter Stories - the forthcoming 3DS spin-off - is getting its own companion series on Fuji TV. The Ace Attorney adaptation is coming in April next year and is based on the new 3DS title, Ace Attorney 6.
As well as confirming this news, Capcom also unveiled trailers for both games at the show - which you can watch below.

**END SPOILERS!**
Interested in the Ace Attorney, not so much Monster Hunter.
Ah, I've been waiting for an anime forever! I really hope it's not going to be a flop.
It was bound to happen eventually. It was just a matter of when.
Nice, hopefully at least the Monster Hunter Stories anime will be something for me ^^.
I think have a anime to a game is a really good idea in terms of getting kids and anime watches to watch the show and then get interested in the game in return . I mean just look at Pokémon and Youkai Watch, and see how successful both of them have been ^^. (I probably became a Nintendo fan because of Pokémon).
I have said this before and I will say it again, but Nintendo need to do a Splatoon anime sooner or later. Having the Splatoon anime air at the same time as the next Splatoon game potentially comes out or a bit before would be a great idea . (Also I want some more detailed lore from the Splatoon universe).
So Phoenix is going to be the defence for trails within the Kurain tradition?
I SENCE MAJOR PLOT POINTS ARE THICKENING
And did I see Payne with a crown on in that trailer? What on earth?
I WANT NINTENDO TO MAKE AN ANIME OF SMASH BROS.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope the Monster Hunter game gets localized. It seems like a lot of fun.
There an error in this. The AA series is based on the original trilogy, which is why they show Phoenix, Maya, and Edgeworth, all with their old designs.
If that monster Hunter gets localized... and gets a console version, I'll consider it however, I don't know if I'll ever buy a handheld version.
Oh gosh, the AA6 trailer... a foreign country with mediums as prosecutors? Really? That's so ingeniously stupid that I can't wait to play it XD;
Between these, and that castlevania anime that was confirmed to be happening a month or so ago there's a lot of interest video game anime adaptations in the pipeline.
Monster Hunter looks cool. I hope that it actually has a story.
Hoo, boy. Think I'd rather have a based on actual Monster Hunter than Stories. It shouldn't be so bad, so long as the Monster allies don't talk, or anything.
Might watch the Ace Attorney, but not the MH one. I wish they had made one based on the main MH games rather than this kids game.
Anyway, the game is looking really nice for a 3DS game. Just too bad the trailer doesn't really represent the final game, as the actual game will likely have a lot of jaggies. Anyway, Capcom really knows how to make good looking 3DS games. Unlike Nintendo, they know what to do when doing a non-realistic graphics style on 3DS. Basically I'm bashing Fed Forces' incredibly horrendous graphics. Again.
Hopefully nobody involved in the Monster Hunter Mezeporta Incident project has a hand in this - the results would be horrifying...
The Ace Attourney animé only holds limited appeal to me, since I already know the games, and I highly doubt they will majorly change the story, so the element of surprise (a huge factor for crime stories) would be lost on me.
@Discipledoctor I thought so, especially when NintendoLife said it was based on AA6, but they casually throw around the old Edgeworth design (whereas he had a new one in DD), and just show Maya like that (when she hasn't even been in an AA game since T&T, if you don't count cameos in the Edgeworth games).
Definitely going to watch the Ace Attorney anime, as it's been something that just perfectly fits (visual novel gameplay translates well to anime).
But that Ace Attorney 6 trailer, a trial with defence attorneys and spirit mediums as prosecutors (though I saw that Payne cameo in the trailer)...that sounds so ridiculous that I can't wait! But geez, with all the "Kurain" and "spirit medium" talk in the game, if that doesn't confirm Maya or Pearls, I don't know what does (though, I hope Gumshoe sneeks in somehow). Also, that T&T/DD Objection theme remix in the trailer...I like it.
Ace Attorney anime! I hope Crunchyroll or Funimation pick it when it airs. Monster Hunter Stories also looks amazing.
That's some neat free advertising for Nintendo then, too!
WORD SALAD OF JOY
That is great! The more AA the better! I can't wait to see the breakdowns in action!
@blackbox64 The Japanese believe that there are at least 3 people in this world that are your lookalikes albeit unrelated to you. This foreign Payne-lookalike must be one of them
Ace Attorney Anime!!!!
@RatKing64
"I hope it has a story"
Well, it is named Monster Hunter Stories, surely for a reason.
@AVahne
Kid's game? Doesn't look like a kids game to me. Just a normal Japanese RPG handheld game. And it looks good... I wanna ride the Rathalos too
Finally an Ace Attorney anime!
