Nintendo's been quite a tease with the Mewtwo amiibo - it was displayed at San Diego Comic-Con without much fanfare, and all has been silent on when it'll arrive. Thankfully the silence has ended, with details of a European release date for what's sure to be a particularly popular amiibo.

It's still a little while away yet, but it's hitting Europe on 23rd October.

There's been no North American announcement as yet, though we'd expect its release date to be pretty close to the EU equivalent. This amiibo is particularly notable due to the fact Mewtwo is DLC in the latest Super Smash Bros. titles, rather than a member of the core cast; its popularity made this figure rather inevitable, though.

Are you planning to try and get a Mewtwo amiibo?
