PAC-MAN has had his history of glitches in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U (the double-team infinite jump in 2v2, as well as the fire hydrant being able to go through the Smashville stage), but thankfully these were patched out. Not so fast Nintendo, there's a new glitch in town, and this one makes PAC-MAN an unstoppable force.
YouTuber Styles X2 has shared the glitch of making players literally fall through the stage's floor. It works by PAC-MAN activating his 'Pac-Jump' Up Special (a trampoline) at ground level, and then creating a second trampoline as soon as the opponent jumps on the first. The opponent will then glitch through the stage and ultimately fall to their death (unless they're a proficient jumper such as Kirby or Jigglypuff, in which case recovery is possible). However, it should also be mentioned that until they fall out of the bottom of a floating stage, they can still leap back through the floor they've fallen through if they're quick enough, as shown in Onett featured in the video here.
Have a look at our video below to see the madness for real. Will you be trying this before it (hopefully) becomes patched? Let us know your thoughts and experiences below, and make sure you subscribe to the Nintendo Life YouTube channel to keep up to date with all the daily content!

Turn down for PAC! wub wub wub
I imagine that I'll be seeing a lot of Pac-Men on For Glory tonight...
Well.....Namco Bandai did help develop this right.....their only character should be king
@NintyMan I should never have updated my game .
Now I'll be wondering how many fanfighters, might try this?
Patch on the way in 5...4...3...
I don't see this glitch becoming a big thing. The setup is way too obvious.
@NintendoFan64 You can always delete the update files to revert to launch day state.
@Kaze_Memaryu
If you do that then the game will not launch until the newest update has been reinstalled. The only way to play the vanilla version on the same console is to do a factory reset.
Wow. Pacman rivals Meta Knight for being the most game breaking character of all time in Smashbros. At least now you can patch it!
Yesterday we did a meet-up with the guys from my region's Smash community and one of the guys showed this to me and a couple others while everyone else arrived to the place. He picked Pacman, I picked Bowser and we tested it out. Laughs were had.
I almost don't want this to be patched because it's just really fun. As well as hardly appliable in an actual fight and also very easy to escape from if successful.
The trampoline lies! Lol.
Pulled this off without having to trigger a new trampoline, and by pure accident during a friendlies set. Got many of us stumped lol

Villager should be able to save himself as well due to how good Balloon Trip is.
I remembered this happening to my friend's brother while my friend was streaming, we thought the Yoshi's Island stage was glitched lol.
I hardly think this'll make him an unstoppable force honestly...It's just too obvious. And it'll get patched pretty quickly (time to say good bye to all my replays...again).
So to avoid this you don't jump on the trampoline? Is that hard to not do?
@Iggly: Yarn Yoshi* =/
I hereby dub this move "The Trapoline."
@Greenalink Not as far as I'm aware. I tried it on my 3DS with a friends' copy, and the game worked without any complaints. As for the WiiU version, I'll test that later on, but it should work the same way, since the game cannot know what is the latest update.
@Fee My friend's bro was playing on the Yoshi's Island Stage.
@Iggly Oh my gosh. There's a Yoshi's Island stage!? I didn't even know. Must be all the Fox only Final Destination I guess.
I use Pac-Man a lot and I think I've done this to someone before online but it happened so fast that I was like wat hapen 2 u
@Fee I assume the glitch also works in the 3DS version of which there's 1 Yoshi's Island stage in each version (Brawl in 3DS and Melee in Wii U).
Take that Ban hammer out, and Ban him in the tournaments Nintendo!
Pac-man is one of my mains
@Kaze_Memaryu I can say my wii u gives me the option to play games without updating when it prompts an update via my retail disk... so yeah.
not sure about smash since its had like 15274938updates. lol
