Video: Gawk at Streets of Rage 2 in 3D on Your New Nintendo 3DS

We may be waiting until the Summer for the next batch of 3D Classics from Sega in the West, but Japanese gamers can look forward to 3D Streets of Rage 2 this week, on 28th April; yes, we're jealous.

The good news is that Sega's official YouTube channel has served up a taster of how the brilliant fighting game will look on Nintendo's portable. If you have a New Nintendo 3DS or New Nintendo 3DS XL you can check out the video below, or at this link through your portable's web browser. It has that music and shows off all of the characters, so is well worth a watch.

It's out in July in the West. No, it's still not July yet.

Had a BLAST playing the first one over and over with my 4yo son on the 3DS (the "1-punch-kill" mode is genius, makes it very accessible for little kids), looking forward to playing 2!

There's a song in one of the levels of part 2 I always seem to remember randomly, hope to hear it again soon. Ha ha.

Hmm, think I preferred viewing it through my retro rose tinted glasses in my head more than seeing what it was really like.

I watched this on my iPhone 4 by squinting my eyes to get the 3D to work and it's actually very cool. I wish I could afford a New 3DS, along with the games, and that I could play all these games in glasses free 3D.

Note: I can't do it on my PC because it seems the size is just too big for my focal range to get the two images to come close enough together to work. It's great on my phone though, albeit tiny.
