The Treehouse team at Nintendo of America has become an increasing presence in the past year, particularly since its excellent live coverage during E3. Live streams showing off upcoming games have been fairly common, and a few of the localisation experts were on hand to show off upcoming Wii U shooter Splatoon following the most recent Nintendo Direct broadcast.
We were somewhat distracted in covering the various reveals of the Direct broadcasts when this originally took place, so with a Holiday weekend upon us it seems like a good time to catch up with the 36 minutes of Splatoon footage. The team covered single player, local multiplayer and online matches, showing a decent range of content - including the new amiibo figures.
You can watch in 60 frames per second, too, which looks fantastic.

No sound??!
Maybe it is your device.......sound working fine on mine
@paul6891 Nintendo Life has been having issues with embedded YouTube videos starting off muted sometimes. Simply check the video's volume control to turn the sound on.
Anyway, I personally already watched this live on Nintendo's official Twitch channel.
Good run through of the game ... really like this game ... I just hope the online battles stay active on this one when It comes out ... This game could be the start of a Mario kart franchise ... Looking forward to the friendly competition!!
Did they detail how the Splatter shot and Splatter shot pro differ? If they did I didn't notice, I am interested in what makes them different.
This has me more excited for Splatoon than anytuing else has done so far.
Awesome! I really hope this gets the praise it deserves.
@arrmixer How is this lookin like the start for a Maroi Kart Franchise? Anyway this game is looking more and more awesome for me.
@Sir_Deadly
Just a comparison Mario kart is nintendo's version of a racer ... Just like splatoon is nintendo's version of a third person shooter with online multiplayer ... thus tons of fun!!
I didn't think more hype for this game could be possible.
