It was confirmed in today's Nintendo Direct that Etrian Mystery Dungeon - Atlus and Spike Chunsoft's upcoming RPG Dungeon-crawling mash-up - will be up for grabs on the 3DS in North America, digitally and physically, on April 7th. For those of you who are collectors and/or eager fans, pre-orders and first run copies will also come with a bonus soundtrack CD, though its contents are as of yet unknown.

For those of you out of the loop, Etrian Mystery Dungeon is a crossover game that aims to mix the classes and party system of the Etrian Odyssey series with the randomly generated dungeons that Mystery Dungeon is famous for. According to Atlus, there is approximately "a metric buttload of exploration" as well as an additional "metric buttload of customization". Chock full of monsters, skill trees, quests, loot, and more, this certainly sounds like a buttload of fun.

Also released today alongside the release date news was the following trailer for well-known Etrian Odyssey class the Landsknecht, a swordsman that may be a vital part of any team.

Will you be exploring these dungeons come April 7th? Let us know in the comments below.
