After the Amazon amiibo listings in the US pointed to some figures in 'wave 3' — due in February 2015 — being retailer exclusives in the country, details have slowly emerged of where they'll end up. Shulk will pitch up at GameStop and Meta Knight will swoop into Best Buy; now another figure has found a home for early next year.
Toys "R" Us has confirmed that Lucario will be exclusive to the retailer; that could be a smart move by the toy giant in nabbing the Pokémon fighter. The blue brawler is due in February 2015 along with the 10 other 'wave 3' figures, though Toys "R" Us has put down a placeholder — for it is surely that — release date of 31st March.
That just leaves Rosalina & Luma looking for a home, it seems; we've checked the usual suspects such as Walmart and Target and, so far, there's no listing.
Will you be adding Lucario to you collection?
Thanks to Baby Guess for the heads up.

The aura pokemon
My other nintendo news site said rosalina and luma are target exclusives. I don't have any real source though.
These exclusives are going to become a pain in the..... "back"
This is making me paranoid about possible exclusive deals in Europe...
What if it's a store that has no online store and isn't reachable for some people?! sweats nervously
But generally, these exclusive deals in NA are just pointless. The stores can change the price depending on demand, and a good number of people will miss out on certain amiibo figures.
@Yorumi Hahaha!
Arceus bless online shopping where the item(s) comes to you. Makes hunt and gather less of a chore.
Rosalina already has a home, ...which is her Comet Observatory.
I'm surprised and thankful that nothing is exclusive in the UK, but I don't want to give them ideas :0
inb4 Rosalina & luma is club nintendo exclusive :>
(for 800 coins)
ugh. so meta is best buy, shulk is gamestop and lucario is toys ar us. ok can we stop with these three now?
Not interested, the whole exclusive thing will be a pain for those who want these particular amiibos. I hope nintendo is making some good money by going this route, because other than that, they are only pissing off their fans by making it inconvenient for them.
I know it sucks for collectors but from a business perspective its understandable as a means to maintain relationships with retailers
The worst part is that since these are exclusives, scalpers will be getting a lot of these, giving Nintendo the idea that it is good for their sales to make exclusive amiibo.
There are no Toys r Us around my neck of the woods. Booooo!
Yikes! Getting a little out of hand isnt it? Good thing Amiibo's dont interest me in the slightest....
Not interested in Amiibo one bit, will enjoy watching idiots pay a small fortune for one on ebay lol
Might want this one.
I my pick him up. I like him alot.
@andyg1971 cool profile img, I've got one of those bad boys :-0
why all the exclusives
Oh god why...I was fine with shulk at gamestop because I have two gamestops by my house but im gonna need to take a 30min drive to get metaknight and lucario and I hope its not true that rosalina and luma are a target exclusive because thats completely out the way
Haven't been in a Toys R Us in years. Kind of a big distance from my house...
YES! The Lucario figure is one of the slickest looking ones! Definitely will pre order that one!
Will be great news for fans of those characters who don't have the specific store nearby.
Oh come on! Lucario was the few figures i was going to get,i hope too god Ike is not exclusive to any store.
@SuperMalleo - Pun-tastic. +1
@andyg1971
I will enjoy making a profit.
as for rosalina and luma I'm pretty convinced they will end up being exclusive to walmart.
Lucaro is one of my top 5 characters I use so yes, I will be buying him! I already have Peach and Link.
Grrrr, WHERE'S GRENINJA'S?! TwT lol
Guess I'll be buying online a lot more frequently because they can't just make them available everywhere.
@SuperMalleo haha that's great!
As someone who doesn't buy collectable figurines normally I require a fair amount of persuasion. Which means I'm not really going to be one of the folks preordering each amiibo as each wave is announced. What worries me is that with these exclusive deals that are being cooked up is that if I find myself buying one and being really pleased with it and wanting to buy more. Only to find scalpers and early adopters scooping up a limited release (which could be of a character I might really want to get) and then the only ones left being on ebay at extortionate prices. I worry that could happen with these exclusive releases.
