Japanese Pokémon Centres Will Receive New 3DS Consoles With Suede Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Faceplates

Why are these editions mostly stamps now instead of uniquely designed? I remember everyone being in awe over the Zelda 3DS

They look cool, but it sucks that both sides have the same motive. Did they really not come up with a Pokéball or the Pokémon OR/AS logo for that?

Would not buy because suede, seriously I spend enough time trying to keep my shoes clean not adding a 3DS to the list even if it looks awesome.

Hopefully the New 3DS has better design, I know you can change the covers but i'll be fine with a special edition

I want really bad lol they look awesome and since they are the New 3DS and not the New 3DS LL, you can switch the plates out to keep those suede ones in good condition. I wish I lived in Japan.

What are you guys talking about? These look really nice to me! It's too bad that you only get them when you buy a new console though, instead of just selling them seperately. I was hoping the New 3DS would avoid special editions so people could just sell special edition face plates.

I think I'm gonna get a LE 3DS XL(can't decide between Zelda XL and Fire Emblem XL) now and get a standard N3DS with interchangeable face plates later.

Is the top model 3DS LL and bottom one smaller 3ds? Cause there are some differences in the look and buttons.

Geez, those look pretty nice in my opinion. But man that suede is gonna suck keeping clean.

Its not like you can import the faceplates from, Play-asia...Not a big deal.

They look great! But yeah, the suede will probably show a lot of dirt. It will be comfortable to hold them for hrs at a time though.

Anyway, still loving the faceplates. Now I can just import Japan-only designs for my western system without having to buy an entirely new system, which I never do with LEs anyway as I see no point in owning multiple copies of the same model; even more so with Nintendo consoles since I dun wanna give them more console money than I need to, which is their whole reason for using region lock these days.

Not interested in the ORAS designs but THAT SUEDE IS GORGEOUS. I'd LOVE to have that material on a Mario or My Melody faceplate.

i think a white one with the red plates would look the best.

I'm liking how they're doing the covers on these New 3DS systems. Much better than most of the crap they're throwing out on normal 3DS imo.

My take from it is that falceplates can be made from things other than plastic. Should be fun.

But aside from that. Wasn't the point of faceplates to kill off the ridiculous limited edition consoles and yet thee faceplates are only only available as that.

Seeing as I have sweaty hands, I guess it will be tainted pretty quickly.
