Quite often games arrive earlier or exclusively in Japan, and those of us elsewhere in the world can only look on with envy or splash the cash on imported systems and games. Occasionally these Japan-only games are intriguing primarily due to the fact that they're peculiar — Hello Kitty & Apron of Magic: Rhythm Cooking is one such game.
First of all, that name is peculiar in itself yet, oddly, does a perfect job of explaining the concept — it's a rhythm game where a good performance improves cooking, and it goes for a super cute aesthetic. Yet still, it mixes things up further by throwing in cameos from the Arcana Heart franchise; that's a fighting series, by the way. As Siliconera explains, these characters are hidden and can only be unlocked with specific actions, but once available can take part in the cooking routines.
A couple of videos of this are below; who's going to start the localisation petition for this one?

@Barbiegurl777 will be awesomed
Arcana Heart? Really?
Doesn't make sense to mix a franchise aimed for families with a fairly... erm, shameless fighting game, but whatever. The results might be interesting
Believe it or not, I want it.
Only "odd" if you're not an otaku gamer... XDD
Expect awesome sales... In Japan at least.
Despite me being a grown man, I've always loved games aimed at younger audiences such as Hello Kitty and Cooking Mama, and I feel I need to pick up this game. I don't really care whether people insult me or not, because i'm open to whatever I want to do and whatever I want to like.
.....
Wait....
Arcana Heart...?
TBH, That's like mixing Cooking Mama, WarioWare and Senran Kagura Burst.
Or am I getting it wrong?
I do want it.
Looks kind of fun.
@KarateKid1234 If you're wrong it's because you need to replace WarioWare with Elite Beat Agents.
It's super kawaii-desu. But, I don't think it looks like a very good game, seems kinda slow and boring to me... Also, is that Vocaloid music I hear, or is that my imagination?
i don't know why i love reading these weirdness articles
@Kroisos Or Rhythm Heaven. That probably fits the "cuteness" theme better.
I would buy this even if its bad. Just the concept alone of having family friendly Hello Kitty with Arcane Hearts is just ridiculous to say the least.
I need this game in my life
It's probably worth mentioning that the lyrics to the songs in those videos just happen to be explaining the cooking process as it's happening.
@CaptainSquid God, is that program hell.
"NO IT'S KAWAII DESUU NEE YATA SUGOI!!!!!!!"
I feel like stuff like this is the reason I don't have money. Because I totally would have purchased a Japanese 3DS the very moment I saw that headline.
