Zelda is a series that inspires plenty of people to take up instruments, cameras and more to produce fun videos or fan-albums for everyone to enjoy. It's also a franchise with such ardent fans that it can promote concerts worldwide and consistently sell out venues; it's truly iconic.
Naturally, YouTube is full of videos that celebrate the series, but one particularly fantastic stop-motion animation has arrived this week. Talented animator Counter656 has been picked up by Machinima for a series of fantasy animations based on the Zelda series, using the Figma Link figurine along with other equivalents and clay models.
This isn't exactly a faithful recreation of the series, however. Link summons an ally, throws out magic and selects some weird items, so it's not one for traditionalists. For everyone else, however, this is pretty darn fun.

awesome
Personally, I would have summoned Wesker and also used Cloud's sword. lol
That was amazing! Reminded me of this, though:
Very entertaining
@Damo Oh God, how I love The Fast Show.
Now just tweak up the graphics, keep the gameplay style, and remove any copyright problems and u have one hell of a zelda
That was a fun little video!
Didn't realize Link liked beheading so much.
Seriously, though, really nice work on the combat animation. I liked the weapon selection screen, but the other "extras" that were used were disappointingly obscure and not what Link does, so... oh well.
Link's movements were a bit stiff, but that was otherwise wonderful. I'm looking forward to stage 2, whenever that will be. Your image led me to believe that Professor Layton would be in this.
What the...? Natalie Breez can regenerate her limbs?!
Classic combination of Lego: Bionicles and Play-Doh
@HeatBombastic Actualy it's LEGO Hero Factory, not Bionicle. But it's all in all similar to Bionicle, just more sucky and with a terrible storyline.
These are the sound effects of dragon ball z ..
That was pretty entertaining.
Nice. ... I hope the next Zelda U raises the bar on awesome epicness. Its time for next level Link baddonkeyness.
Damn that was really something! O_O
Wow, that was amazing stop-motion!
I loved how the green Hero Factory guy initially formed together. Still trying to figure out how they got the plus shaped hole in the hand to hold the buster sword though...
I love how he cycles through all these awesome guys to summon and lands on the one person I don't know. XD
This seems like the kind of bizarre (but awesome) that would happen if Robot Chicken took itself seriously...
lol Link summoned Black ★ Rock Shooter out of no where!
Anyone else recognize the sound effects used for Link's voice? It's Soul Calibur 2!
The image led me to think Layton would be in this, with a deadly teacup of the gods. Good vid either way.
Needs more proffesor layton riding charizard.
Pretty damn cool though.
Shocked to see no one complaining yet about Link not being right handed.
Why isn't ink lefthanded? Cool vid none the less! Must have been a lot of work
EDIT: See you got there first, @br1an !
@Sjoerd @br1an Skyword Sword's version of Link, which the incarnation in the video is based off of, is canonically right handed instead of left handed.
@Luigifan141 I refuse to recognize that mirror universe Link.
@br1an It's not my fault that they used that incarnation of Link in the video.
@ThomasBW84 Anyone fancy a pint?
Pretty cool!
Saw that on happy hour the other day, pretty awesome.
