Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask was released as a launch title in Japan for 3DS on 25th February, and at a little over a year and a half old is finally being released in Europe on 26th October, arriving in North America on 28th October.
Fear not, our Australian readers, as Nintendo has now lifted the lid on a release date for the Professor's latest in Australia and New Zealand; it'll be released on 27th October down south. The title will be available as a packaged game from retail stores and simultaneously as a download direct to your 3DS from the Nintendo eShop.
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask is the fifth game in the series, where you pick up a year after the events of Professor Layton and the Last Specter. The game is set in a mysterious town called Monte d'Or, and is sure to be packed full of the puzzles we all love and enjoy in each Professor Layton game. If you want to see more then check out the latest trailer, released last week, below.

this will sound odd but do layton games come with a language option,as in can i listen to the original japan voices with english subs
Well with the European copies they don't,so I doubt the American version will.
To be honest the voice acting isn't that bad,bar Emmy,and Luke.
Awesome! Can't wait to get this game & personally I enjoy the voice acting in this game & see nothing wrong with it, guess I'm just easy to please
@TOMBOY25 : None of the internationally released versions of the games have included the option to play the game in Japanese (or with the original Japanese soundtrack). The film Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva did however include the Japanese soundtrack on the DVD.
I can't read the tittle without Majora's Mask popping in my head. (Miracle, Miracle, Miracle, not Majora's, Miracle.)
This and Virtue's Last Reward come out four days apart. I have my work cut out for me.
I think the voice acting is fine in the Layton games, apart from Luke's voice in the American version but since I'm European, I don't have to put up with the awful voice acting he has in the American versions.
@FonistofCruxis
Personally, i had a mix of the game- me and my family visit the USA quite a lot, and the layton games came out while we were there. I think I have the american version of The Curious Village and The Last Specter, and the European versions of Pandoras Box and The Lost Future (I think)
Only thing I really noticed that I prefered Laytons voice actor in the European versions, though the voice in The Curious Village for Luke did bug me a little.
Im just gonna sit here hoping that its released for the normal DS.
The 3D effects really don't go well with my eyes.
