The top competitor in the winter sports division on the Wii may well be the Mario and Sonic Olympic Games, but publisher Deep Silver has plans to represent itself in the winter games, so to speak, with its upcoming motion-controlled sports title.
Winter Stars is scheduled for a Q4 release this year, and features 11 winter disciplines: biathlon, freeride skiing, snowboard cross, paraskiing, curling, snowmobile, bobsled, downhill skiing, figure skating, ski flying and short-track speed skating. To make the experience all the more immersive, the game also features Wii Balance Board support.
A career system has been implemented in the single-player story mode and in between events, players are presented with special challenges that include arcade-style training sessions. By earning experience points, new equipment can be bought and skills can be upgraded.
Plenty of multiplayer action is on offer as up to four players can take part in offline and online competitions, with the Family Mode feature allowing each player to set their own individual difficulty setting according to their skill level. Numerous mini-games are also included.

Meh. Just meh.
@ 2 probely or really good wii shots.
Sounds interesting to me. I'll have to wait for more info to pass judgement, though.
I like Deep Silver so I have hope for this. It has snomobiling in it which could be really cool and it has online multiplayer. Will definitley keep an eye out for it. Also, where is my Cursed Mountain sequel for Wii, 3DS or Cafe Deep Silver? I loved the first one.
