Ignition Entertainment was kind enough to end over two more brand new gameplay videos of their upcoming 2D action/side-scroller Muramasa: The Demon Blade in action.
This article highlights the first trailer aptly titled "Chop-Chop" and shows you some of the vicious attacks at your disposal. As usual, the game just keeps looking better and better each time we see new video of the game.
You can check the "Chop-Chop" gameplay trailer below, along with a snippet of information that accompanied the video.
Follow the deadly samurai Kisuke and the dangerously beautiful Momohime as they take on an unbelievable host of enemies. Watch as these two steadfast warriors use powerful combos and special attacks to cripple an array of ancient Japanese enemies. Be sure to watch the entire video and keep an eye on the combo count – it’s unbelievable.
We'll have the second gameplay trailer for you later tonight Muramasa: The Demon Blade and we'll have a full review as soon as the game hits store shelves on September 9th. In the meantime, don't forget to check out the official Muramasa: The Demon Blade website.

We've got another amazing video going up later tonight. You gotta check it out too.
I'm not watching anymore videos. Thanks n' all, but I'm totally sold. Just need the game to arrive now. TBF'nA
@ Machu (comment 3) I am completely sold on this as well. It is stunning, not just in the way the characters/backgrounds are drawn, but the lush animations and the atmospheric details (like drifting blossom and lamp illuminations).
It looks like it is plenty 'fighty' for my tastes too.
Every video looks better!
Ummm. You made a mistake. It says in the article that the release date is September 9th and the game profile is September 8th, so fix that if you would!
Also Gamestop has the release date at September 3rd, I bet that they will get a surprise when on the 3rd when they don't get any copies
It says in the newest press release that the game ships on the 8th, so it won't be in stores until September 9th. Fix'd.
Thanks Corbie, it was bothering me!
Well I meant to change it yesterday and forgot. It needed to be fixed. Thanks for reminding me.
wow... i need to get a job. so many great (and by great i mean phenomenally amazing) looking new Wii titles coming out soon. this, Silent Hill, FFCC: Crystal Bearers, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, A Boy and his Blob, Mini Ninjas, Spyborgs, Monkey Ball Step'n'Roll, Dead Space, Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles, Metroid Other M, HAWX, and several others! and that's just Wii games coming out soon! i've not even mentioned DS, or downloadable, or all the great games that are already out that i don't have the money to get. I just got Metroid Prime Trilogy, and that will be my last big purchase for some time. but man. nothing like having options for when i do stumble on some cash. it's a great time to be a nintendo fan, despite what all the biased mags and websites say! VIVA LA Wii!
I sympathise completely with bro2dragons (comment 10). If I import Muramasa to UK it will cost about £37 ($60 USD) with posting, which is completely reasonable. However, I have still not bought Wario Land: Shake It! or Wii Klonoa. I find myself increasingly spending my pennies on WiWare and particularly Virtual Console downloads, they're so cheap and easy.
Trouble is, as sad as it makes me sound, I actually miss building a collection of all my titles stacked as game boxes!
....cooooool.
The combat is looking smooth. Can't wait to rack up those combos.
