It may not have lived up to the expectations of many fans, but Sega’s NiGHTS: Journey into Dreams has obviously performed well enough at retail for its developers to be considering future titles and it would appear that the Wii is the favoured platform to receive them.
In a recent interview Takashi Iizuka (the director of the game) had this to say:
When we decided to finally make a sequel to NiGHTS, we didn’t know which console it would be for. We only decided later on that we would develop the game for the Wii. But I think it was a good choice. Should we make another instalment, we would make it for the Wii
We were a little disappointed with NiGHTS but the potential is there for a very healthy and entertaining franchise, so fingers are firmly crossed that Sega can improve on things with future instalments.

Don't tease me like this, Sega. If you make another one, do it for 360 and with a proper budget behind it. My head would then, predictably, explode.
