Pokémon have always had various ways of evolving into new beasties, and Pokémon Sword and Shield are no different. One of these curious contenders is the adorable Clobbopus, who can be found primarily on Route 9, just west of Spikemuth. Whilst you can also catch its evolution Grapploct on the same route, they can be mighty tricky to capture, and a Clobbopus doesn't put up quite as much of a fight. Also evolving Pokémon is fun.
To get your Clobbopus to evolve, you're going to need to teach it the move Taunt, which is does so naturally at level 35. That's all fine and dandy, but many of the Clobbopus you'll encounter will be higher than that level already. There's the likelihood that they'll already know Taunt, in which case just raising them by a single level will cause evolution to spark up out of nowhere, but if they don't, you could be in a bit of a pickle.
If this is the case, the simplest thing to do is to go to the Move Tutor on the left hand side inside any Pokémon Centre and ask him to make your Clobbopus to remember Taunt. Alternatively you could just use TR37 if you're afraid of Pokémon Centres for some reason.
Whichever you decide, it's once again just a simple manner of levelling it up one more time and bingo-bango! You've got yourself a potent little Grapploct!
