Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the latest adventure in the Pokémon franchise, this time bringing with it a whole new open world, new catching mechanics and more.

While the deep mysteries of Hisui, and which Pokémon you’re going to encounter, are left for you to solve, there are a few Pokémon that you might need a bit of help catching, including the three starter Pokémon from (Brilliant) Diamond and (Shining) Pearl.

Where to find the Sinnoh starters in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

The three original Diamond and Pearl starters are all present in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and you can get all of them fairly early if you want to build out a nostalgic team from Sinnoh.

Piplup

Piplup can be found in the Cobalt Coastlands. He’s at the bottom of the Turnback Cave hill, next to a small pond.

There are a few Bibarells around, but you’ll have to be quick, Piplup will run away if you don’t catch it quickly. You’ll know you’re in the right area if there’s an Alpha Empoleon nearby.

Chimchar

Chimchar can be found on Ramanas island in the Obsidian Fieldlands — you might not notice him because they’re a huge Alpha Infernape behind him, but he’s there.

Once again, he’ll run if he sees you, so you better be quick about it!

Turtwig

Turtwig can be found in the Crimson Mirelands, towards the far right of the map. There’s a small body of water with a single tree on the other side. You’ll see Turtwig hiding in the corner.

Just like his Sinnoh starter pals, he’ll run if you get too close, so either engage in a battle, or use a powerful ball.

And that’s it! You’ve got them all. Be sure to level up all three for your Pokédex and continue the journey towards catching them all and facing Arceus.
