Are the Nintendo Switch Cyber Monday hardware bundles good value?
If you've yet to buy a Switch and you're interested in the bundled games, the Switch hardware bundles available offer decent value, yes. Even after five years, Switch is still a very hot product, so you're very unlikely to find deep discounts when the console is still very much in demand. You're unlikely to find discounted Switch or Switch Lite hardware alone, with retailers instead concentrating on bundling in extra games and accessories at a modest discount to sweeten the deal.
Nintendo of America has its own Nintendo Switch bundle for Black Friday 2021, which includes a standard Switch console, a digital copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a 3-month Nintendo Switch Online Subscription for $299.99 — this bundle can be found at various outlets above.
The platform holder also has $20 discounts on various of its top games, including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2, Super Mario Maker 2 and many more (also available from several retailers above), plus $25 discounts on Ring Fit Adventure and Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit. All of these offers started on November 21st.
Nintendo reduced the price of the base Switch model to £259/€269 in Europe back in September, so you're looking at that sort of money, plus extra for a bundle — My Nintendo Store UK's Switch bundle deal being just one example. For that reason, it's unlikely that the solo system will go on sale for a cheaper price — demand is still extremely high.
It's the same story for Nintendo Switch OLED — the console just launched so we don't expect to see any discounts on it this Cyber Monday, although there are a handful of modest bundle deals above.
So if you're looking for a bargain bundle, keep 'em peeled this Cyber Monday.
As always, point us to any great deals that are missing, and we'll update this guide as discounts and deals go live.

Rayman Legends at that price is also Code in a Box
Remember, services like Camelcamelcamel are your friend.
Check price histories before purchases, make sure you aren't getting fleeced by an artificial price increase before a humdrum sale price.
That Mario Kart Live game... now it finally is worth something (not 120 but like 60 euro, and some tech...)
buying games on sale is stealing straight out of the pockets of the indie devs at Nintendo. unbelievable that a Nintendo fansite would promote such activities, I hope everyone thinks about the literal food they are stealing from Me a Moe Toes children this Christmas season by saving a few bucks on Mario WiiU instead of buying it for what it's worth: full price. The grumbles of their hungry stomachs are on your souls.
Shopping online is against the spirit of Black Friday! Black Friday is the magical holiday where you stand with you fellow neighbours side by side with the common goal of trying to trample as many people as possible just so you can be the first to get the $5 waffle maker deal!
I'd love to see some old games get a deep discount. Like, can I get DKC: Tropical Freeze for less than $60 already!?
Just remember that acknowledging everything you're thankful for is far more important than clamoring for what you want and don't have. Funny how the frantic consumerism holiday follows the holiday celebrating thankfulness...
Oh the day after my birthday, lovely, but I'm in the UK and we should not be celebrating this. I hate it how its become a thing over here. Especially as in the online shops it is over a week, not just a day.
bubble bobble 4 friends being the only US game
Nothing to see here unfortunately
Really hoping 1TB micro SD cards go for a good price this year, although I want one for my Steam Deck as opposed to my Switch!
Nothing else to say but meh
Another Nintendo site listed about a dozen games that will be $20 off, including Astral Chain, which I may finally try. Not sure why they are not listed here, but maybe I missed something.
@kepsux
Buying games on sale is like stealing? For digital sales it is the developers price and for physical it is the retailer. But they also have to pay for those games before the can put them on sale. All in all your comment was one of the dumbest I have seen in awhile
@moodycat I would love a cheap 1 TB sd card for my Switch. I'd probably still fill it up.
@blindsquarel how do you sleep at night?
@kepsux
I sleep fine. I know I am a monster for buying games on sales that these developers approve. Oh the humanity!
@FishyS Same, considering I've already filled up a 400GB one. I don't buy digital unless I have no other choice or unless the price discrepancy is significant, but it seems to be working out that way more and more often!
The U.K deals are rubbish! sorry but they are...
£48.99 for that 512gb microSD is a real bargain, a record low price.
https://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/product/B08GXXKY6P
That said, it's not the highest performance model (only A1, not A2), but I'm not sure the Switch would even benefit from the higher read/write speed capabilities on the microSD.
Edit: The Switch's microSD slot is only capable of UHS-1 read speeds up to 104 MB/s, so any speeds above that are wasted.
The above microSD should be ideal for the Switch.
Just out of curiosity why are t deals in other regions posted, like Australia, Asia or Europe?
UK don’t count they didn’t wanted be team player. lol
And im sad that America don't have any good deals.
Could you add a Canadian section, eh?
@RudeAnimat0r Donkey Kong country tropical freeze was on sale for $40 two years ago on black friday. You missed out.
@kepsux lmao
@blindsquarel it’s a joke lad
@Bryon15 I didn't own a Switch two years ago.
@jump If I cannot pry a blender from an old lady's hands while simultaneously screaming at her and her grandchildren then I feel like the magic of Black Friday is lost.
Nothing for me there. Have everything I want. Virtually never get anything on the horribly named "Black Firday" anyway to be honest
I suppose it was wishful thinking to see the OLED Switch on sale for the holidays given that it just launched. HA. Oh well, I probably won't upgrade anyway since I love my ACNH Switch too much.
What about Canada NintendoLife?!?
We are still part of the UK constitutional monarchy and the Queen is still technically our Head of State... for whatever reason lol.
Oblige us... please? (and sorry if it's asking too much)
We hope you like saving $10 on 3 different Switch games, North America!
@kepsux Buying games on sale is stealing...we've reached a new low. I hope you're not old enough to vote. Every single thing in your comment is literally 100% not even a tiny bit true and that's not how economics work.
@ivory_soul sad so few people care about the livelihood of the poor indie devs in a country ravaged by earthquakes and poverty. no empathy, it makes me sad.
Has Neo TWEWY done really bad or something? I picked it up with a pretty sizeable discount not that long after it came out and here it is on sale again.
@wuntyme8 I've watched the holiday sales previous years. The North America region eshop sale for November/black-friday will start later, but it isn't shorter than UK.
Also, the UK typically has their Christmas sale for the week before christmas, while North America's Christmas sale starts on Christmas day or the day after. I'm always SO jealous UK get's their sale the week before Christmas.
crusin blast also in the cyber deals.. yes!
Overcooked 1&2 complete edition with all DLC at Bestbuy for $29.99
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/overcooked-all-you-can-eat-nintendo-switch/6454096.p?skuId=6454096
Picked up Ion Fury for half price on the eshop, looking forward to finally playing it. Have heard nothing but good things
That Retro-Bit Official SEGA Saturn Control Pad is nice for playing some Sega-CD games on P.C. .
Indivisible is a very decent game 16 pounds is a steal.
Skyward sword is 30 quid at tesco just now, better than the deals above and not even listed as sale price
This article is just a lot of space given to Amazon, to display games like BoTW at £49.99 with a Black Friday price of £39.99. The same price they always sell it for. Nothing to do with Black Friday.
NL stop being part of this very misleading scam, not every sale is a genuine Black Friday deal, most are stores trying to cash in.
If BotW was 50% off for a few days then that would be what Black Friday is about. That would be something those who haven't bought it but want it would be grateful to hear about.
Most of the games listed always sell for the prices listed here, So they are not BF deals. Anyone can Google 'best price' and get this information. I hope NL are not profiteering from Amazon clicks.
Some of those micro SD card prices are pretty good actually.
Ok these prices are a little to good, I been meaning to play three houses.
I can’t see any deals. These are normal prices
Paper Mario and the Origami King is available for just below £24 at The Game Collection.
@Medic_Alert
Yeah, I'm planning on grabbing a couple of the 512GB SanDisk Ultra microSD cards this Friday, on pay day but also just in case an even better deal comes out on the day itself.
@1UP_MARIO True. But for Nintendo they are.
The Amazon UK Bubble Bobble deal has already gone… that was fast.
There's a pretty nice sale going on at the US eshop atm if anyone's interested.
The gamestop deals are showing me the used ones are $27.99 and new is $39.99
@SoIDecidedTo Ah, Gamestop have increased the price on those — I've updated them now. Thanks for the heads up.
Those are not deals. Lol.
Man, the only two games I want right now, death's door and Smelter, have yet to go on sale. Death's door is new, so I get, but Smelter hasn't been on sale, ever.
As always, some of these were priced LOWER before Black Friday. It's all a scam to make us spend money, often on stuff we don't really want.
I am in the market for a 512GB SD card though, so that recent drop is good timing for me.
@AlexHarford
Another competitively priced 512GB microSD has been listed on Amazon.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B085FGJDP9/
This may be even better for use in a Nintendo Switch than the similarly priced SanDisk Ultra, as it has much better write speeds at the expense of read speeds (that are still above the Switch's maximum write speed).
Was hoping to use my £50 Curry's voucher, but there's nothing going on there.
Yeah i’m going to lcd from nintendolife
no guide for europe?
Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania - Exclusive Artbook at GAME
Was £3,499.00 and now £23.99
What a steal lmao. Surely that has to be an error on their website…
I just ordered 3 games physically, quite decently priced, that I have been watching for a while now.
-Maneater, a game about a shark getting revenge on humans;
-Stubbs, a game about a zombie getting revenge on humans;
-Destroy All Humans, a self explanatory title about an alien.
Apart from Carrion and Zombie Night Terror, does anyone know any other good games that have a similar twist? I don't feel much like 'saving humanity', I guess.
@wuntyme8 that 'sorry if it's asking too much' is probably the reason why the UK queen is still the boss of Canada. You should demand more from them, and be less sorry about it
LOL Civ 6 was $5 last year and it’s $10 this year? Glad I got a better deal when the game was newer
@Shambo APE OUT - apes escaping captivity and splattering gun wielding guards - absolutely wonderful game with a dope soundtrack and a cool art style
@kepsux is this a troll to get on r/tomorrow?
GameStop, in the US, not only has games on sale but also has a buy 2 get 1 free deal on preowned switch games. I got Neo Twewy and MH stories 2 for $66 then threw in Bravely Default 2 as my freebie, just to trade it back in when the price is up again. With membership that should be $20+ store credit, more if there’s a bonus credit promotion toward an upcoming release I want. High trade value is the only upside to switch tax.
@1UP_MARIO GameStop did have some fantastic deals earlier in the week on first party Switch games.
@GannonBanned How could I have forgotten about that one, indeed a fantastic game, it even had me in tears at the end (despite being frustrated by how hard it was).
It's time to CONSUME!
For anyone still on the fence about getting a 512gb microSD card.
I received my two different 512gb cards yesterday and set them up in my Switch systems, and confirmed their authenticity.
The 512gb SanDisk Ultra had a write speed around 35 MB/s.
Whilst the 512gb Samsung EVO Select had a write speed around 70 MB/s, and was the slightly cheaper of the two.
This was using the same USB 3.0 adapter on my PC.
These write speeds shouldn't impact your usage whilst installing or playing Switch games, but something to consider if you're getting them for any other reason.
Surprised those GAME OLED bundles haven't been snapped up in the UK. I know Pikmin 3 and Paper Mario aren't as popular as other titles, but with the OLED hard to come by I'd have thought they'd sell instantly!
@kepsux no one ever speaks about how hard it is for the earth quakes. More people cause them to have to rumble more and then the stress of their fractures is amplified. Don't even get me started on the poor poor valcanoes and how humans encrouach on them daily them cry foul when a limb is melted off.
Wow, those are certainly some big TVs.
(and at a price I absolutely cannot afford)
Puts to shame the tiny CRTs I grew up gaming on. Never imagined it would be possible one day to have one probably as big as my entire wall.
