Roblox is undoubtedly one of those games that sort of hovers in the background; never quite in the day-to-day conversation, but nevertheless a formidable presence in the gaming industry.

It's hard to believe that Roblox has been around now for nearly 17 years, yet here we are. Indeed, its popularity may have passed many by in the early years, but the game really ramped up during the latter half of the 2010s and it now demands a similar respect as other gaming behemoths like Minecraft and Fortnite.

Is Roblox On Switch?

The harsh reality is that no, Roblox isn't on Switch. At the time of writing, the game is available on Windows, MacOS, Xbox One, iOS, and Android.

That's not to say it will never come to the Switch, mind, though it's chances are looking relatively slim, admittedly.

Back in 2021, CEO of Roblox Corporation David Baszucki stated that he reckons a Switch version would make "perfect sense", though we've not heard anything remotely concrete since then.

Should a Switch release be announced in the future, we'll be sure to update this guide with all the info.

What Is Roblox?

Roblox can be tricky to define since it's technically many things. What do we mean by that? Well, it's basically a tool that allows users to create and play a wide variety of games while chatting online with friends.

The games themselves are called 'experiences', and these cover a range of different genres, including platforming, simulation, and fighting.

Roblox is free-to-play, so naturally there is the option to purchase microtransactions via the 'Robux' virtual currency. There's also the 'Roblox Premium' membership, which grants players a certain amount of Robux per month depending on their chosen tier.
