Running down a dream
The BIT.TRIP series is one of the shining stars of Nintendo's WiiWare service. The simplicity of the game mechanics would work well on the 30-year-old 8-bit consoles to which they pay homage, but it's the intelligence of design and music-rhythm aspect that makes them so addictive. BIT.TRIP RUNNER is the latest entry in the...

Looking forward to it. Looks a lot less seizure inducing than its predecessors.
whoop whoop can not wait
Cool, Commander Video is directly playable this time.
OMG! Sexy...
After having played Tomena Sanner and just going by these few screenshots, i can't help but see similarities... and i'm excited. The world needs more TS-like games, and if Gaijin can pull off an actual rhythm-based platformer in the same vein as TS, this is going to be my new favorite game ever.
online leaderboards plz :3
That is the scariest concept art I have ever seen! And I've seen the concept for Shadow the Hedgehog. shudder
Awesome concept art!
@theblackdragon: Don't you mean...
Online leaderboards PLEASE??
Any word on a release date?
@pix: according to this video, they're shooting for an April release date and a price of 800 points (about 2:15-ish is where the interviewer asks about release date/price). :3
800pts?
.I hoped for 600pts again [...] but it's ok, because it's bit.trip _
Online leaderboards would be really, really nice.
This actually looks pretty cool and the music is fantastic. I never quite got into the other games of the serie. I tried the demo but it wasn't my thing. But a platformer looks awesome. Well platformer, I assume you can't stand still.
Sounds like there won't be online leaderboards. Oh well, looking forward to it anyway. The 17th can't come soon enough!
This is probably gonna be my first Bit Trip game. Just looking at screenshots for the other three gave me a headache.
Only managed to grab 20 minutes on this so far but it's already a class act - fun, excellent music and excellent presentation. I look forward to the Bit Trip games as much as some full retail releases.
And yes this is a bit like a more rythmic version of Tomena Sanner (which I also loved).
Pitfall 3 !!!
ZOMFG!
this game is so full of win that it's sick!!!
Can you believe NGamer gave this 1 star?
no way, Dragoon D:
just bought 5 seconds ago
Just downloaded the Demo expecting to hate it not my kinda of game I thought but loved it.
I just played this game's demo for the first time in awhile. When I got to the "end of demo" sceen, I saw the room becoming distorted in my vision. That has never happened with any video game, so unfortunately I don't think it's safe to buy the full version. Other than that, it was the coolest demo ever. 9/10 overall.
the runner has an 8 Bit vibe.
