Review Art Style: light trax (WiiWare)
Racing takes a puzzling turn
After a year-long DSiWare detour, the Art Style series has returned to WiiWare with one of the series' most action-oriented entries so far. It may look like a simple racer, but as the Art Style series has proven time and time again that looks can be deceiving. light trax is an updated version of the Japan-only bit...

Nintendo Download 25th June (Europe)
Hidden gems galore?
A lot of today's game titles might not say much to some people, but rest assured there's some good picks in this bunch. WiiWare gets three games, two of them great, and one not-yet-reviewed-but-very-likely-also-great. DSiWare's got five new titles of which the only reviewed one is good as well. The rest of the bunch could be more...

News Art Style: light trax Smoothly Glides to North America on May 24th
Ladies and gentlemen, start your Nintendo Points!
It seems like ages since the last Art Style game hit WiiWare as the series' focus shifted to DSiWare, but the drought will soon be over as the next entry is due to hit North America in just ten days' time. European fans itching for some stylish arty Tron-style racing will be disappointed that light...
About The Game
Art Style: light trax takes racing to whole new (and very surreal) levels as you control a white beam of light moving perpetually forward while your viewpoint shifts between 2-D and 3-D perspectives.
Start by choosing one of the two main modes of game play, each with its own distinct goal. In light tours mode, you vie with other light beams for the most points in a three-course racing tour. Watch out for obstacles, use items and strategically use your dash ability to finish first. In freeway mode, your objective is to set a high score by traveling the greatest distance within a set amount of time.
Mastering the intricacies of each setting is crucial: you’ll have to alternate between them in order to progress through the game and unlock all of its modes. With precise controls packed in and a driving techno soundtrack, Art Style: light trax offers an experience unlike any other. Are you ready to compete in a mind-bending race at the speed of light?

I want this game so badly.
It looks so awesome!
Can't wait till it comes out!
Looks like a ton of fun. Always loved Art Style games!
I... Must... HAVE THIS!
May 24, 2010 Can't wait!
It's dotstream (GBA-Jap) on steroids! Awesome!! I like the new viewpoints!
Nice! This looks awesome...
Man, it's an evolved dotstream I want this out in Europe asap ;;
Okay, not complaining, but isn't this a suped up/better funded version of the indie game streamline? I can't wait for it to come out, because it was a nice game, fun, but very limited, and once the multi player/dimension aspect is added, this game is gonna be pretty freakin' awesome. Here is the URL to the video were streamline was reviewed. http://current.com/groups/video-game-reviews/90099014_xna-roundup-19-clover-and-streamline.htm
still waiting for review. Come on, it's your JOB to play these games all day, why wouldn't you pick this one first??? Looks so good but who knows could also be one of those "good yet flawed" 7 or 6s.
@winter123: the Nintendo Life staff are all volunteers. no one here is paid to "play these games all day"; we all have day jobs (some, like myself, even work two!) and our own IRL stuff to deal with. It's only been out for a day. please be patient.
This game would be one of my top three favourite Wiiware games ever if they had AT LEAST online scoreboards. This game could have been so much better. Online multiplayer, LOCAL multiplayer at least... But still, it's fun. (Would have MILLIONS more replay value if they added the features I mentioned)
