It's not straight-up DLC, nor is it sizable enough to justify a full price retail game, so Nintendo has opted for a best of both worlds approach; it's available as either pricey DLC for New Super Mario Bros. U or as an inexpensive standalone retail game to be released at a later date. What does it...

I'm pretty excited about this. I can't get enough Luigi.
I have a feeling the boxed version may become a collector's item.
Played threw smbu in 5 days, so yes i would love to see some more gameplay for my 50 euro's.
How big will the DLC be? GB wise?
the cover's hilarious!!
@DannyGamer2027 ...not sure but remember hearing something upwards of a gig? around 1.5~2 or so
@DannyGamer2027 Ive heard over 90 brand new levels ^^
Streets are safe for +/- 4 days then ^^
only about one more day THEN IT will be luigi time
cant wait
?
well
@Five-seveN I know RiGHT only about one more day
Awesome downloadable game, well worth the 20 bucks extra. Pretty challenging too, although the worlds are much shorter. File size is between 700 and 800 mb, about half the size of NSMB-U; sorry I don't have the exact figure off the top of my head.
Will there be a Competition for this game @nintendolife cause if there is I wanna try and win it
This is the best DLC that i have got for any game. it basiclly redoes the whole game with more challenging Luigi themed levels, redoes the physics to fit for Luigi like jumping higher and fluttering and running faster but harder to stop. and the best part about it is it is only 20$ for what would almost be worth a full retail game. This is what DLC should be.
Man, I don't have a Wii U and my friend won't let me play his. Guess I'll go back to the legend of zelda games for fun...
Looks like Nintendo, finally realized that it's Luigi's time to shine.
I am a newly returning Nintendo custom, it's been a long time since my days of being a little kid and playing Mario on my Super Nintendo, Super Luigi is only my second game for the Wii U and i already find my self being annoyed with it, i find the 5 life's thing pointless and that there is no need for life's at all, i also find it very annoyed this once you run out of life's you start all the way back at the start and have to redo the Missions you have already beat. I don't know if this is also so after you beat a castle, if it sends you back to the very start or just back to the last Castle you beat. I find this to be Very annoying & discouraging as a newly returning customer back into the Nintendo World, it makes it very hard for me to just sit down after a long day and hop into a game easily, it makes it hard to find time to be able to sit down for the prolonged time needed to beat a whole section of the game at once. why can't it be like the old day's were when you beat a mission that was it you were done with that one and if you died on the next then you just retry till you got it not having to redo all that you did to get to that mission...i hope all the new Mario type games are not like this or i think ill quickly find my self buying a X Box One and Shelfing my new Wiii U.
How many gigabytes would this take up for the digital version?
