About The Game
In the 1980s, the gold-medal-winning name for sports games on the C64 was Epyx. Now you can relive over 50 different athletic and sporting events across eight of Epyx's retro classics in this remastered collection, including the best-seller California Games.
Take home the gold in everything from skiing to skateboarding, from wrestling to roller skating, from BMX to bobsled, and many more. Epyx games were known for their amazing animation and stunningly accurate and immersive gameplay, with some even developed in coordination with former Olympic athletes for a truely authentic experience.
Play with up to 8 players, with many events supporting two-player simultaneous play.
Featuring:
• Summer Games (1984) - The original competition
• Summer Games II (1985) - Return and go for gold
• Winter Games (1985) - Canada's slopes provide the greatest challenge
• World Games (1986) - Take on the globe
• Championship Wrestling (1986) - It's clobbering time
• California Games (1987) - The raddest, most totally tubular events ever
• The Games – Winter Edition (1988) - Take to the slopes once more
• The Games – Summer Edition (1988) - The ultimate athletic tournament
Experience these collector's classics with many modern features, including:
• Display filters (including retro CRT filters) and scaling options (including aspect-ratio-corrected and fullscreen options)
• Recreated game boxes - rotate to view from any angle
• Fully integrated game instruction manuals
• Save games - save and restore your games at any point
• Right- and left-handed control presets

I pre-ordered this game, and was just waiting to play it, to see how these games stood the test of time. I have not been disappointed. I used to LOVE these games on C64 way back in the day. Epyx was always so consistent, and produced such high quality games for the time. This collection is all about sports mini games. If you have someone to play with (in-person/ no online), there is just so so much content for the price. The integrated instruction "booklets" clearly explain how to play each of the many events.
Oh also, be sure to save your game for each of the titles after each competition, and reload that file when you want to play that title the next time so it saves a running list of the all time best scores for each title. If you just select new game every time you select a title to play, your previous high scores will not be there.
