A simple matter of custo-Mii-zation
If you've recently picked up Nintendo Switch Sports — the latest entry in the 'Sports' line that Nintendo began with Wii Sports back in 2006 — you may have wondered where the Miis have gone. I don't like these jazzy new avatars, you may be thinking. I want my chubby little Mii with floating spheres for hands!...

With controlled motions you can curve your bowling ball, add spin to a tennis shot, or even use a Joy-Con with the Leg Strap accessory to kick the ball in a Soccer Shootout. Family and friends can join in on the fun on the same system or online. Plus a seventh sport is planned to be added via a free update this fall; get ready to Golf!

By no means am I saying the game is going to be bad. I'm glad this was even thought of all.
But what hurt me the most was that it wasn't Mii based, they're SIDE ADDITIONS more than anything. They flat out trolled us.
Why Nintendo T^T
We more so wanted Wii Sports "3".
Literally replace the Avatars with Miis and make it Mii Themed and then I'll feel better.... I can live with no Wuhu Island or Limited Mini-Games.... just make it Mii Themed.....
The Switch needs more Mii Games.... Miis need some love.....
@2ruffles You are so right! All us Mii lovers have is Miitopia and a minor playable character in MK8 and Smash! Also, respect for the fellow Mii Profile Pic have-er!
@minecraftemery Likewise (I decided to change it to my Mii today to fit the theme more).
I can't believe that since nintendo released this game they decided to explode everybody's wii console. Yes you herd that right I found an article about it here: https://hard-drive.net/nintendo-announces-all-still-functioning-wiis-will-self-destruct-in-2023/ Nintendo life WHY haven't you talked about this? This is completely outrageous.
(I'm joking plz dont come after me)
Edit: they just posted an article about it now
@2ruffles @minecraftemery
I couldn't agree with both of y'all more. These new avatars are just so lame and can't replicate the perfectness of the miis. It hurts me to see how nintendo is trying to phase them out. Like why is the mii maker on the switch hidden away? It should be an icon on the bottom.
@zap-switch No kidding, not to mention Switch Sports is missing some of the magic from the Wii Sports series. Being focus on Miis, the Themes, even the UIs
@2ruffles right. switch sports was great but it wasn't bringing enough nostalgia, and i understand some people don't like miis but they were PERFECT for the sports series and Nintendo needs to start listening. the wii sports music should've been a direct transfer and the UI should've been similar. honestly i would be happy with a direct port of wii sports with HD graphics..
@zap-switch No offense, but that was a troll post. Hard Drive just does a REALLY good job at trolling.
