Review Yume Koujou Doki Doki Panic (NES)
Super Mario Bros. 2, minus the Super Mario Bros.
Depending on who you ask, you're likely to hear quite a few different variations on the story of how Yume Koujou Doki Doki Panic came to be. Some say it was originally intended to be a Super Mario Bros. game but ended up taking on a life all its own at the hands of video game developer extraordinaire...

About The Game
Not your everyday bedtime storybook!
As Piki and Poki get ready for bed, they begin reading their favorite Arabian adventure storybook. All of a sudden, a hand reaches out from the book and pulls the two children into its pages.
Rusa, the childrens pet monkey immediately panics when all of a sudden the Arabian family from the storybook appears and offers to lend a hand. Now you must take control of each of the Arabian family members in an attempt to rescue Piki and Poki from the many dangers found throughout the mysterious storybook.
Yume Koujou Doki Doki Panic is the game that Nintendo inserted Mario characters into in order to release the game as Super Mario Bros. 2 outside of Japan once the original Japanese Super Mario 2 was deemed to be too difficult.

This is what Super Mario Bros. 2 USA was originally.
lol, haha, it looks funny, and to think that SMB2 (USA) was just ripped from this
the mario chars fit well, especially introducing toad in a mario game was cool
would be cool to see both versions on VC, but i think it would cost too much, as i wouldnt buy this one, since i bought SMB2 already... and 2 same games with different sprites wont make it worth it, i think
